Amazing area of Uji, charming and beautiful

Beautiful views of the river. Peaceful setting, walkable to nearby restaurants and shops. Tatami was comfortable, the bathroom dated. The onsen and staff were great.

View was great

The view was great, but other than that, it's not worth the price of a Japanese hotel. All shops within a short walking distance close at 4, walk further close to uji station and there's a few more that are open later, but extremely inconvenient when all other hotels I've visited had something extremely close at a fair price to. The room was lack luster, creaking floors, dated bathrooms (even had mold in mine). Couldn't even visit the balcony stating the reason is due to it being on the river, they can't control the bugs that come up. Which im not sure how true that is because nowhere else walking up and over the river did I experience bugs. Probably could be solved if balconies were maintained instead of letting mold and bugs be on them. Staff was nice but go somewhere else and get something more practical

very good location with great scenary and good breakfast . good souvenir shop with the popular product of local location.

Not what I expected but still nice. Took some getting used to but I’m from the USA so it’s my fault.

Best ryokan

It’s clean with spacious room. Just that hotel is slightly away with limited restaurants in the evening.

The view towards the river was breathtaking
