The Stables

Lovely converted stables set in large owners garden with views over beautiful countryside on the edge of the Peak District - great base for exploring the Peaks and surrounding area - fantastic week away. Hosts Amanda and Phil were lovely and the nice welcome pack went down a treat.

Nothing not to love

Comfortable and spacious for two people. Quiet location and perfect for a peaceful retreat close to the Peak District.

Would have been even better if it was within walking distance of local amenities.

Very pretty with everything you needed, and clean

Wish there was part of garden fenced off for the dog. But must stress not a big problem.

Lovely cottage in a great location for heading into the Peak District for walks with the Dog. This had everything we needed included a full kitchen with cookware, tea, coffee and a great welcome hamper. The place has extra touches that we didn't use such as a washing machine, freezer and even a home gym. We would happily stay here again and would probably stay for longer as the location is great as there is so much to do nearby. Great stay

The bed was a little hard compared with what we are used to however I'm sure that's perfect for many people. There is a TV in the lounge and one in the bedroom, again just a tiny thing I would have swapped them around as the one downstairs had casting ability to utilise netflix, Amazon and so on where as the lounge TV didn't as we didn't want to spend our evenings in the bedroom. Neither of these were a negative and wouldn't affect our decision to come back again.

Had a lovely relaxing three night stay. Great location and had everything we needed. The welcome pack was a nice touch too. Would highly recommend.

This was our second stay in the Stables. Lovely place to stay, very nice and cosy. We really liked having the wood burner on after a good day of walking in the crisp and windy weather in the Peak District. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need for a nice stay. The hosts are very friendly and can give great advice on what to visit around or where is a nice place to eat nearby. They also put together an info brochure which we found really useful. Lovely welcome goodies too! Our dog particularly appreciated the big garden and running around in the lush grass.
