"Just perfect"

We liked it all… the remote location (but still only 45 minutes walk to 3 pubs in Ashover), the friendly welcome of our hosts Amanda and Phil, the thoughtful welcome basket, the cosy yet spacious cottage, comfortable, clean and well equipped, and the walks straight from the door, we didn't move the car until it was time to leave.

Perfectly located, quiet and so comfortable. It was like having your own little house, every amenity thought of, plus a generous welcome pack with bread, fruit, milk, homemade jam and cordial etc. It's really the very definition of how to make guests feel welcome! Everything spotlessly clean, fluffy towels, toiletries. We really couldn't have asked for more. We'd planned to eat out but loved it so much we stayed in, cooked and watched the tv at night! And extremely dog-friendly. Highly highly recommend :-)

"Relaxed Derbyshire Break"

It was a lovely cottage that was clean and comfortable. The living area was bigger than the photos indicated, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. There were lovely views of the garden and the doors of the living room and bedroom opened onto the garden. Very quiet and secluded, although within an easy drive of Hardwick Hall, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Bolsover Castle, all of which are well worth visiting.

It was difficult to find on arrival and the parking was a little tight for my long car.

The Stables is located in a great area, lots of walks which the dogs enjoyed with great hosts more than happy to suggest walks/ things to do whilst on our short break. Would definitely stay here again!

It was really lovely, very clean, spacious, very comfortable bed, the owners left a box of goodies on the table, access to lots of walks and Chatsworth House.
