The Stables

Everything you could think of was available. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. All facilities available. Location is fantastic. Great for local walks and only a few miles from other great attractions if you want to take a short drive.

There is nothing to kit like.

Super cosy, clean cottage with high quality fixtures & fittings. The fenced off garden was perfect for keeping our dog from bothering the chickens & geese whilst still being able to enjoy the outdoors.

The electric car charger was an absolute bonus in such a remote area, however, be prepared to pay Tesla super charge prices.

The Stables is lovely. The interior is tasteful and the kitchen table is set up with a welcome hamper on arrival. We chose this property also for its location and big garden. Phil and Amanda even made a dog enclosure (little garden) off the back of The Stables so our Jack Russell wouldn’t bother the chickens, geese and ducks. We enjoyed our evenings sitting outside watching all the birds knowing our dogs were in our little garden.

Everything was great. Phil and Amanda’s house is next door so if you have any questions, they are happy to help.

Erg leuk en gezellig huis met op de begane grond een grote, goed uitgeruste keuken, een ruime woonkamer en grote badkamer met douche, wastafel en toilet. De slaapkamer is het trapje af heeft een heerlijk groot bed en een extra toiletruimte wat erg prettig is. Op warme dagen is de slaapkamer heerlijk koel en er zijn openslaande deuren naar een tuintje dat afgezet is zodat de hond vrij kan rondlopen. In de tuin een tafel en stoelen om lekker buiten te zitten.

De hygiëne/schoonmaak kon op sommige plekken wat beter.

Beautiful accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Spotless. A welcome hamper on arrival too. The hosts Phill and Amanda couldn't do enough for you. You want for nothing. We loved the chickens and geese wandering around the property,it made it feel more countrified,if that was possible.We definitely recommend this place for its location,peace and quiet.

A delightful 4-night stay (too short!) at this very comfortable and superbly-equipped holiday home, converted from stables on the property of Phil and Amanda, who gave us a very warm welcome, together with a generous "welcome hamper". The rural location meant much-needed peace and quiet, although within easy reach of the nearby village of Ashover, plus Matlock and Bakewell a bit further afield, and the very comfortable bed gave us four restful nights! Enjoyed some excellent meals at the nearby "Kelstedge" pub, and the "George" in Clay Cross.

Only the weather could have been better , but we found plenty to do, in between the showers. .

The property is located in a beautiful area. And well maintained by the owners.

Amazing location and environment, such wonderful hosts, even going out of their way with a gift basket and bbq for my husbands birthday!

Very clean and a lovely welcome box with bread and fruit etc… Loved the lounge separate from the kitchen by 3 stairs Very relaxing break . We even had the cockerel wake us up in the morning ( No need for alarm clock)

Having to leave

A very comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage. We loved the location with great walks from the door. The hosts were very friendly and the welcome pack was amazing!
