The Snuggle

The location was great. Nice walk to the local Inn for dinner. Space to spread out and the ability to wash/ dry clothes useful.

Had a problem with the internet. Resolved only the next morning.Owner did try to sort for us.

location is perfect great for walks and views

parking was a bit tight but ok

Symonds Yat itself is a wonderful area and we spent much of our time outdoors exploring, fishing, hiking canoeing etc… however I advise staying in many of the other accommodation options which are highlighted below.

I recently stayed at "The Snuggle," and the surrounding activities like fishing, hiking, and canoeing were enjoyable, our experience was marred by significant communication issues. Firstly, my inquiry about fishing information sent through Booking.com in July went unanswered. A recent question regarding the check-in process also received no response. The access code was sent at 16:57 on check-in day, nearly two hours after our scheduled check-in time, which forced us to drive half a mile to find a signal to gain access. Additionally, the television was not working, and despite multiple attempts to reach out via text and Booking.com, we received no assistance. After our stay, I contacted the owner again to address these concerns but was once more ignored. It is also concerning to note that many other reviews mention similar issues, suggesting a persistent lack of interest in correcting these problems. Overall, I would not recommend "The Snuggle" based on these experiences. There are many other properties in this beautiful area that may offer a better stay.

As there was no mobile internet service in the area I didn’t receive the entry code, rang owners twice got answerphone message, third attempt a few hour later got through and got code, would suggest sending entry code at least 24 hrs in advance. The tv didn’t work and the property internet was very intermittent. Also property faclities very basic , electric shower did not work, not good in all.

This is the 4th time we have stayed at this location but in various cottages this being our first time in this one. Lovely cottage, very clean. Beautiful views. Comfortable beds. Little outside patio with table and chairs.

There was no phone signal and unfortunately no WiFi either, we were sure it was down to the thunderstorm why the WiFi was down so it was to no fault of the host. But we couldn't watch TV either because of the lack of WiFi. We just opened a bottle of wine and still enjoyed our evening. I'm just glad there wasn't an emergency as both of us wouldn't have been able to be contacted, but again not the hosts fault.
