Casa Alemán

Beautiful and spacious room/apartment with a good view of the lake. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The owners were friendly and very helpful. Would recommend and would return. The property was a little walk up a steep hill but it's worth it for the views of the lake.

The shower does not have hot water, but there is a stove to heat up water which we used and worked ok. It's quite noisy on the metal roof when raining and limited sound insulation so would recommend ear buds for sleeping - we used these and slept very well

Casa aleman is an amazing place. The views from the terrace are breathtaking, especially during sunset. Even better than the place are the two hosts. Amazing is a word which doesnt describe the full extent of their beings. Whatever we needed, whichever wish we had, the fulfilled it even before we could say it out loud. They invited us for dinner and helped us widening our horizons and discuss about life in all its facets and entanglements. If we are in Guatemala again, our first destination is the Casa Aleman! The two of them know more about Tikal and Guatemala than any guide could have told us. Do me favor and visit casa aleman :) Thank you for everything, you made us feel like we are a part of your family.

Parking a little awkward

Great and engaging hosts. The location in the nature and the great view of the lake. Huge room with kitchen. Natural airco (no windows to stop wind but mosquito nets). Breakfast.

No warm shower. No airco Difficult to keep little flies out. Steep walk from main road.

Wonderful hosts and one of the best accommodations we've stayed in over 10 years visiting central America. The room is large with big windows and a 400 Sq foot balcony that looks out over the lake from up the hillside where it's located. Excellent a/c and wifi. The bathroom is spacious with good hot water and a large long king-size bed. A basic kitchen and refrigerator are located on the covered balcony. Finally, the view is amazing

We loved everything, but due to the steep road up and stairs once you reach the hotel may not be the best for people with mobility issues.
