White House

Nice/adequate food and drinks provided, loverly big comfy bed, small comfortable seperate room to watch television was nice, bathroom was small but adeqate enough for us.

The host was fantastic, very welcoming. The room was spacious & bed comfy. Nice selection of food in the fridge, which we were very grateful for. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent self contained unit with everything you could need beautifully set in the tiny hamlet of High Hesket with the lake district at your disposal routes and boots for the walkers but also a charming rural retreat for the weary worker what a lovely place to come home to The White House is a real gem I will return as a tourist thank you Jill and Dave for having me, wonderful host's and thoroughly good people doing a great job ten out of ten from me

Nothing to say about that I couldn't think of one thing to complain about

Big TV but would of been better in the bedroom as more space.

Far too small. Not very clean. Didn't like the door in the bathroom that leads to their house didn't feel comfortable using the shower knowing someone could walk in anytime. The toilet seat was broke so you slid of toilet when sat on it. Need more space for toaster. Not much selection for breakfast we had to drive 9 miles to garage to get food. Lots of spiders and creepy crawlers in there which the wife doesn't like.

Property is in a nice quiet location easily accessible from the M6. Great seating area with wall TV. Bedroom is a great size and really comfortable.

The En suite is a bit small - might be a bit tight for someone over 5ft 9.

Excellent overnight stop on the way to Scotland. Perfect location and excellent help-yourself-breakfast, with plenty of choice and good quality coffee.
