White House

Nice people. Good continental breakfast. Free parking and internet.

Location hard to find when listed postal was entered it gave the wrong location not White House. The listed phone did not work. Bed was too soft and sheet kept coming off. Blinds in bedroom did not block light. Bathroom was terrible. Toilet was too close to the wall which made it difficult to use and the seat was loose. The shower entry was too narrow making it difficult to enter and exit. TV was not in the bedroom.

The place was cosy and had everything we needed. The little extras were a nice touch. We were made very welcome.

Nice to have some sitting space, there were nice surprises in the fridge, large bedroom.

It was all good, but we would place a small dining table and chairs in the spacious bedroom as you have to make your own breakfast in your room. And a teapot would be nice.

20-30 minute drive from the Lake District and close to Scotland. We are so Glad that we Booked their place. They are a Warm and lovely Couple that made us feel so welcomed. Their place is Spacious, well decorated, comfortable, cosy, clean and private, with private entrance and parking as well. The White House is well located in a small village, right in front of a lovely chapel. We took their recommendation to eat at a place nearby (3 - 5 min drive) called 'Treat Point' and we had a delicious dinner meal made by a lovely and friendly owner. We had a beautiful stay, highly recommend The White House and would stay again.
