White House

Lovely host could not do enough for us after a long drive wine plater of assorted fruit cold meat & cheeses

Shower was a bit small

We stayed at the White House for one night in order to attend a big family gathering. For us, it was perfectly positioned a short distance from Carlisle and the motorway but delightfully quiet. The rooms are well appointed, the bed was really comfortable and the continental breakfast just hit the spot after a mighty out. Complimentary tea, coffee, pastries and bottled water were all welcome.

An excellent, varied continential breakfast kept in the fridge, very confortable lovely hosts , very welcoming. Would certain book again and for longer than the 1 night we stopped this time

Our second stay. You have everything for you in this location. Fridge is restocked daily, so breakfast is when you want it. Hosts are wonderful and caring. Even a small courtyard to yourself for those sunny days. Great location if visting Eden Valley and surrounds. Parking is off road.

Follow directions on the website. Gill left us a cheese plate and wine. Also, breakfast items.. Had a microwave, small refrigerator, and coffee maker. Very nice. Also, had many TV options. Great night's sleep.

Well appointed property, very comfortable and had the facilities required.

Comfortable bed

I think we were unlucky. Carpets somewhere were wet. We realised our feet were wet, my bag with clothing got wet. Food was left in fridge, bread was mouldy so we chose to avoid eating what had been left.
