Lovely family, basic room but everything you need, great food and very good for staying in Donsol

Basic value for money on the accomodation - you pay for what you get. We loved our tricycle drive back up to Daraga and to the airport. Not too far in a tricycle.

While the family sat around the house with the latest technology - we had to stoop under the hand basin to turn on the water every time we wanted to wash our hands and shower with a shower head that sprayed everywhere except into the shower position. When I asked if the toilet paper bin could be emptied after 3 days of more than 6 people sharing the bathroom I was asked to change this myself 🤨. The add ons that where offered where very pricey so make sure you find out exactly what’s included in the offer before you accept. Local knowledge could have prevented us wasting our money and time on a snorkeling trip that was expensive and way to dangerous the day after a typhoon but we were offered this assuming they had our best interest at heart.

I loved this homestay! The family was so nice and always helping me with all the questions I had. They serve the best breakfast aswell. Would recommend you stay here when you are in Donsol!!

Amazing friendly staff and property, very helpful and accommodating and great cooks! Would 10000% stay again, it was a joy to be here and enjoy the family home environment and amazing vegetarian dinners every night! Help to organise and contact the local dive centre, whale shark tours and other interests were also very appreciated!!

The online page should clarify how air conditioning "upgrade" and pricing works for each room before booking, since it is a surprise on arrival, when online advertising suggests airconditioning is included in the listed room fee. It is not a complaint, I would happily visit again but it may help future guests to understand the system and be aware of the additional pricing before they arrive!

The host and her family were so welcoming and sweet! The host also arranged a tour for me and my friends. She was very helpful with suggestions around town. She also arranged a private transfer from the airport for me since I arrived late. Laundry and breakfast services were also a nice touch. I really enjoyed seeing how a local family lived and appreciated their willingness to open their home to me.

I kept finding many ants in my bed which was strange given that the bed was quite clean. The house is right across from a karaoke bar so there is loud music and singing every night until 11pm or so. The window of my room didn't close all the way so you can hear more of the street noise.

It was a very lovely stay with very nice and helpful people! You really feel at home 🥰. The location is great to do the activities in Donsol but it's right across a karaoke bar which kind of kept us awake until midnight. The hostess is very friendly and offers a great breakfast (at additional cost but worth taking for sure).
