The garden of Rivinus is super nice, loads of trees and plants. Rivinu is very helpful host and keeps his place clean and neat, they live here with his fam. I met some super cool people here as well, though it is mostly couples, we were accidentaly here a small bunch of solo travellers. Also the ppl you meet here are a bit older, which for me is great as well, as I'm not lookinh for a teenage crowd.

A wonderful, quiet oasis, situated down a lane in the quiet part of town, yet only minutes from the beach and the main surf break. Rivinu Place is family owned and run, and the hosts are friendly and helpful. The cabana we stayed in was clean and comfortable, situated in the lovely tropical garden. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation and would stay here again, we loved it so much that we extended our stay from 1 week to 4

The location of the guesthouse is perfect, away from the busy main street and beach yet only a few hundred meters walk away. A very peaceful vibe, very friendly owners who helped us woth renting a scooter and also did our laundry. Would definitely recommend going there, and would love to go back myself!

An amazing property that has been decorated wonderfully around the cabins so you are surrounded by nature- there is a pond with fish, along with lots of beautiful plants to walk through to get to your room. The cabin we had was great, a 2 floor home with a nice modern bathroom and a comfortable bed. Despite the actual cabin being basic in its build, it came with both air con and a fan which worked perfectly in the heat. WiFi worked well. The property has lots of nice touches: the water tap/hose outside your room so you can wash your feet to remove sand and also clean the floor area in front of your door, the kitchen being available to guests so you could keep drinks refrigerated and make food, along with the nice communal seating space outside that had plug sockets and cables so you could sit outside whilst charging your devices. The staff were amazing, always there to help you and clean your room upon request. We were also greeted with a bottle of coke each as we arrived which was very welcoming. This place is fairly new, but I’m sure it will receive many guests as it’s a hidden gem in Arugam Bay tucked away from the main road.

I’m unsure if the shower was supposed to have hot water or not: it didn’t have hot water for 99% of the time, but then when having 2 separate showers in the mornings I had hot water for 2 30 second intervals and then back to cold. It would be great if the property offered consistently hot water for showers. We also used the laundry service offered and a number of white tops came back with orange stains on that we can hopefully get out elsewhere.
