Rivinu Place Arugambay

We really really enjoyed our time here, we had the double room with garden view which was a separate little house with a porch surrounded by the beautiful garden of the property. The location was perfect for the beach, main point and the city while still being in a calm neighborhood without noisy street or loud bars. The staff was super friendly, organized transport from Colombo, there was a clean and nice community kitchen and the room was equipped with everything you need (hangers, a wardrobe, a table, soap,…). Highly recommend!

Perfect location! The room was spacious and clean. There was an issue with the power supply (very common in Sri Lanka) and the owner tried to fix it straight away and also offered us to move to another room.

Communication wasn't great. At our arrival we were not given any information about the use of the shared kitchen, or breakfast options. So we went to have breakfast somewhere else

Very comfortable bed with moskitonet. Nice, modern bathroom with a big shower. Balcony with table and chairs. The accomodation is in a quiet street, 10 min. walking distance to the point and 5 min. to the street with restaurants and cafés. Outside shower for cleaning yourself after surfing. Owners are very friendly!

They have a little kitchen, which is nice. But sometimes plates, cups or a waterboiler in the room could be useful.

Great place to stay - short walk to main point. Room was amazing, super spacious and comfortable. Really quiet and peaceful but short walk to everything. Owners were lovely and helped me with anything I needed

Nothing, great place

The place is at a great location, super close to the main surf point and it has a wonderful yard that makes you feel like you are living in the jungle, such I loved . The family that owns it is super sweet and welcoming as well. Very good value for money.

We really enjoyed our cabana stay. It felt like a home to retreat to for a few days. A very relaxing and calm atmosphere at Rivinu Place. Thank you very much!

We spent 5 nights at Rivinu Place and were blown away by the hospitality of him and his beautiful family. The room was immaculate and very comfortable, kept cool with a fan and with a lovely patio out the front for relaxing. He was always on hand to help us and provide us with advice on what to do. He was very flexible and accommodating with our check in time after we arrived very early in the morning after a night bus. We would have loved to stay longer but it was (unsurprisingly) booked out. Great value for the amazing service he provides. 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing location, walking distance to the main point and great cafes in a quiet neighbourhood. The property is well maintained, and each cabana feels private and clean. Tharanga and his family are fantastic hosts, very welcoming and with helpful recommendations for the area.

The perfect spot for surfers. Very close the beach but far enough from the beachbar sound installations to get your much needed rest.
