Keys easy to pick up There is running water Coffee and Cereals offered

Holes in the walls and ceiling. Shower plugged, limiting showers to 1-2 minutes. Everything is falling apart. Baseboards filthy with flooding marks Doors are so noisy to open and close that it wakes the kids up Beds are twins, not double.

The kitchen and bathroom were excellent.

Access information was not good. One bedroom, the window was ill fitted and draughty, the radiator was not fastened to the wall.

No hot water in the morning, and there were people inside the house when we first came in and they said they are doing the viewing which I did not get notified.

Very nice and clean apartment, just like on the pictures, great location, only a few stops away from the city centre by tram or bus. Great communication with the landlord. We were happy with our stay there and would highly recommend.

"If you ever visit Leith..."

7.0

We're talking about Leith. Leith is Edinburgh, but not in the city centre. It'll take you seven or eight minutes by tram to Princes Street, so the must-haves are not out of reach, but we booked this apartment to explore Leith and according to location it rose to the occasion. Groceries are within walking distances as are pubs of any given provenance. I rented a bike, storing it was no problem. There's many places in the vicinity of the apartment where one could safely store it, the building itself included (I'm quite sure not all occupants would agree). The apartment itself is on the fourth floor. Elevator or stairs - feel free to choose. A quite unique feature is the stairs that lead to the rooms from the entrance door. Our landlords have the policy of no street shoes in the apartment itself so you can store your footwear downstairs. There are one big bathroom and a smaller shower room with own toilet. Two double beds and a big sofa in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped and provided all the necessary condiments. Very nice was the big variety of teas. The Velux roof windows allow for ventilation without opening them by pulling a handle in the direction of the outer frame. WLAN was fast and stable - I understand that some of the younger folk are very interested in this kind of information. I really liked the way our landlord or landlady showed us how to get into the apartment. What a piece of luck I had my katana sword with me - I'm pulling your leg, it was a bit unorthodox but I rarely had less problems to figure it out. Just try and find out.

I want to state first that none of the following made us call the proprietors. So I'm not able to tell anything about how quick or comprehensive anything was or would have been fixed. We didn't get the TV to work. After the first day was quite rainy we had some worries that this could cause a problem. But hey - you're in Leith. Watching TV in the afternoon as a bloody tourist there is nothing short of an insult. Thanks to WLAN and iPlayer BBC News wasn't a problem. The towels provided were still damp and one was definitely not clean. Was no problem as there were plenty of them. There is one other thing I'd like to mention - but I want to make it clear that this has nothing to do with our landlord and landlady. Dear fellow Bookingers: if you ever are so lucky to stay in a apartment like this please try to behave like civilized creatures. If you should ever have the misfortune to boil things over or forget your pots for seven or eight hours - do make an effort to clean the beastly things. I don't like the smell of burned noodle water the minute I put a pot on a stove and I guess not many of you do. You are the crown of creation - at least try to behave like that. As a landlord I wouldn't want to have to put up with people who obviously think they are entitled to leave a kitchen the way they do at home when mummy cleans up after them. And I don't give a flying toss about whether your Instagram filter does the trick. Thank you.
