Imagine a home-stay on the outskirts of a city in Europe, then transpose to the highlands of Japan, in a traditional Japanese setting with beautifully renovated rooms. Very friendly service and informative/accomodating hosts, you also get to enjoy a continental breakfast before taking off for the day to see the wonders of the Nagano region.

Best to go with your own car/bike to give the best mobility and access to town etc...

All round excellent place to stay - beautiful, clean house and a helpful host.

Google map of the house was not accurate, which is around 5-10 meters further AND on the other side of the street. We arrived after dark and it took us a good 10min to find the right house.

La chambre est spacieuse, très belle et très propre. Décorée avec soin dans le style japonais et très confortable L’accueil est très chaleureux et attentionné. We hebben hier een heerlijk verblijf gehad. De woning is authentiek en super schoon. De host is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij kwamen op bezoek met een baby en dat was geen enkel probleem, sterker nog, het was zeer geschikt voor de baby. Voor iedereen die wil verblijven in een prachtige woning om een authentieke ervaring te beleven is deze accomodatie zeer aan te raden!

Elio and his wife have put so much effort and love I to this beautiful guest house.It is stunning and very traditional, exceptionally clean and lovely. You will be sharing bathroom and toilet with the hosts, but have a whole japanese living room and bed room for yourself.Breakfast is included and extremely yummy The hosts are alternatively inclined regarding food and eco consciousness, so perfe t for people with the same mindset, you will love it

The bus to the center needs coins, so make sure you always have 300cent coins with you,otherwise you can't take the bus.But great option is having bicycles and ride into town amids rice fields, feeling like a local
