Le petit déjeuner très modeste. Il n'y a pas de buffet. On ne nous a pas proposé de jus de fruit. Assiette très peu copieuse. De loin le petit déjeuner le moins bien de nos 10 jours de séjour en Cornouailles et dans le Dorset

Very impressed. While a large pub/restaurant on a busy cross roads, we could find no fault with the accommodation. We were in room 2, which was directly above the traffic light controlled junction, but we were not disturbed at all. The room was beautifully appointed. Large, huge comfy bed, power points conveniently placed, mirrors appropriately placed (so often modern hotels have mirrors miles away from dressing table with little proper lighting) Downs Hotel however, had very thoughtfully provided good lighting and the hairdryer could be freely plugged in anywhere. TV was good quality LG smart with all the usual channels. Bathroom was outstanding. Stylishly decorated with modern shower and fittings, lots of lovely soft towels. Perfectly placed for the Amex stadium.

The property was in a lovely setting and the staff were all friendly and very welcoming. Our room was lovely and had everything we needed including a good nights sleep. Breakfast was very good too. My only regret is that we only had one night but we’ll be back.

Very Clean, friendly staff and lovely dinners

Great value for money. We only had a one night stay but it was a great one. The staff is very kind. The location is beautiful. The room was big enough for three adults. The hotel is historical but underwent recent renovations. Breakfast was included and was delicious! For dinner we had meat pie and fish and chips. Both were exceptional! Would definitely recommend to anyone driving by!

Breakfast was excellent and also the meal we had in the pub too. The gentleman that booked us in; I think, the Manager, could not have been more helpful and obliging. He carried our luggage up the flight of stairs to our room and went above and beyond to help us settle in. Do not be put off by the appearance of the Pub/Hotel from the outside; as we were on arrival. It could do with a little tlc, but once inside it is absolutely fine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff were fabulous!

Purely just the outside. On a busy main road surrounded by houses, but lovely distant views to the sea and downs.

Clean and the room was decorated nicely.

There was a few irritating noises during the night including maintenance work early in the morning. Terrible nights sleep.
