The Birches with Hot Tub

This was a lovely place to stay, me and my partner loved it! ❤️❤️

Very stylish, clean, and warms up lovely. Perfect little holiday home for a group of four. A short ride to York itself, and the outlet. Would definitely return.

There is nothing I can fault with this lodge other than, if you want to use the hot tub on the darker evenings, you’ll need to take your own light source such as a torch as there is no lighting. This is to stop any disturbances to the homes around. We popped to mountain warehouse and bought a £4 magnetic torch which worked a treat.

It’s was clean and very comfortable would definitely come back again. The beds were comfy and had access to tvs In all rooms. Was very spacious but felt cozy and didn’t take long to heat up when it was cold at night. The hot tub was already warm when we got there it was bugger than expected. Would definitely recommend. Would recommend the Thai place at the end of the road to food was amazing and so were the staff!

The only issues we had whilst staying were it was a bit tricky finding which lodge was ours as all the numbers seemed muddles and they seemed to be a fly problem they were lots flying about and dead on the floor.

Modern and bright

The property is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos. So clean, tidy, spacious and modern and all of the necessary facilities are provided. Including tea & coffee & lovely fluffy towels - The little things! Situated on a lovely quiet site. It was so peaceful and relaxing which is exactly what we wanted. There was a hot tub aswell which we were really looking forward to using however after just 2 uses the water smelt really unclean ‘stale’ is how I would describe it and unfortunately we weren’t able to use it for the rest of the stay which was disappointing If you are wanting to visit the centre of York it is 25min drive. We went out for the evening in York and it was £25 in a taxi as Uber does not collect from the location but will take you back from Uber city centre and this was approx £18. Overall a gorgeous stay and would definitely recommend.

The cleanliness of the hot tub was a little disappointing as this was the reason for booking the property. After just 2 uses the water smelt really unclean - ‘stale’ is how I would describe it and unfortunately we weren’t able to use it for the rest of the stay The shower head was really loose and doesn’t hold properly, so made showering a little bit awkward
