The car parking

The apartment was in a great location and was very clean. We were staying for 2 nights to attend a gig at the Piece Hall which is a short walk away. It is also near the train station. There is everything you need to make breakfast and basic meals. We stayed in a top floor apartment.

There was visible damp between the bathroom and kitchen which caused a constant smell. Very apparent every time we came back to the apartment. Beds were also on the soft side for us. The apartments are next to the Halifax HQ which is undergoing major construction work so bear in mind on a weekday there will be significant noise. Communication with the letting company wasn't easy and took a few messages before they responded to questions. I asked if there was an iron and received a short sharp response that no there was not an iron and nowhere did it say one would be provided. When we arrived.....guess what.....an iron and ironing board was there.

Very clean and modern, with all the facilities

The property was in the perfect location for us, close to train station, Piece Hall, town centre etc. The kitchen was well equipped, there’s a good shower and plenty of hot water and the whole place looked good and was very clean.

Unfortunately the bed was very uncomfortable for us and only one heater was working so it took quite a while for room to heat up. There was a fan heater supplied but this was removed midweek when we were out!! The fridge was noisy during the night and the floor above us creaked loudly when walked on and unfortunately for us the people above were up a lot at night for part of our stay so sadly I did not sleep much for the week we stayed.

The apartment was super clean, very spacious for myself. It was very good to have access to netflix, amazon etc. The complimentary tea/coffee was good. Loved the decor and clearly effort has been put into co-ordinating the overall look. Very comfortable. Instructions were clear and easy to get the key. Noise levels were kept low by most people so had a peaceful night's sleep. The bed was firm but comfortable and spacious - thank you!

For the price, it would be good to receive a complimentary starter pack e.g fresh milk and bread. Signage for lower ground floor needs to be clear. Bins at back were not easy to find and not signed clearly. Heating worked but despite having them on, room wouldn't warm up quickly. It was a particularly stormy, cold couple of days so felt cold anyway. It would be good to have check in earlier and check out a bit later, as it rushed me early next day. Overall, more upsides than down.
