Mountain Shack Homestay

Amazing Homestay - arrived late and got welcomed by the whole family. Room was nice and clean, good space, it was cool in Ella during Oktober so there was no need for the provided fan. Bathroom was equipped with a handsoap (hairdryer was missing) Dinner was really good, they listenend to our request and provided a really affordable and tasty dinner (friedrice with egg) came with some bananas They also offered as an afternoon tea for a really good price, very tasty. The breakfast included toast, rotti, bananas, butter, marmelade and coconut sambol on the first day and pancakes, sandwhiches, bananas, butter and marmelade on the second morning, all served with tea or coffee (we only had the tea) Really good location, close to Ella Town but also a little away to have it quiet. We had our own TukTuk and were able to park it next to the building - a little dirt road takes you down from the "main road" We had a little issue with the Wifi in the beginning, since it is located in the mountain area the mobile-data was not working very well, but the owner fixed it and it worked fine. All in All a great spot, totally recommend!! We would come back anytime when visiting Ella again.

It was absolutely amazed me with the incredible value they provided at a unbelievablely low price and come with surprisingly high quality service and food, you got hot shower, speed wifi, comfortable and clean room,.freshly tasty and authentic local meal definitely without any doubt my best stay in Sri Lanka among my 3 weeks vacations.

We had an amazing experience staying at Mountain Shack home stay. The food was absolutely delicious, with every meal prepared fresh and full of local flavors. It felt like a home-cooked meal, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The owner was incredibly hospitable, making sure I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a warm, friendly, authentic experience.
