Nawin New Star Guesthouse

A basic hotel for a good price at a perfect location in a nice quiet alley with a nice balcony. Water pressure was good but you had to half in the boiler button to get hot water. Pretty good stay if you’re on budget.

Our key broke and they wanted us to pay for it. Fortunately they found a spare key. The next morning we didn’t have to pay for a key all of a sudden

Firstly the kindness and honesty of the staff..the gentleman returned my wallet to me as I lost it whilst taking my clothes washing to the laundry shop opposite..also the cleanliness of this establishment and most importantly the peace i require at night made my stay enjoyable..many thanks..

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Nawin Palace Guesthouse in Phnom Penh! The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly kind, polite, and always ready to assist. My room was perfect—spacious, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities I needed. The air conditioning worked beautifully, the shower was fantastic, and the mini fridge was spotless and convenient. The location was simply ideal, with easy access to everything I wanted to explore in the city. I highly recommend Nawin Palace Guesthouse to anyone visiting Phnom Penh. It’s a gem of a place, offering great value and a truly welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

Ended up not staying because when we went to check in at about 9:00 pm we were told our room’s AC was not working and that they didn’t have a fan either. They start to call around for other hotels for us. We asked to just stay in the room anyway and we didn’t care about AC or a fan, just want to sleep. They insisted to find another hotel and didn’t explain why, which makes me really think they overbooked or gave our room to another guest. Which that would be fine, I guess, if they’re staying for a longer period of time than me, just don’t lie about it. We also had no idea about this until we checked in. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time to get other arrangements made. Could be an honest mistake, but a lot of the hotels here seem to work on a first come first serve basis, even with booking. I will say that I greatly appreciate they found us another room at the Silver Mounts hotel (which was exceptionally nice) and they covered the extra cost of the room. That was very nice of them, but you guys can avoid these kinds of problems in the future if you don’t wait until the last minute to fix something. If this was a Khmer holiday or something (which would be nearly impossible to find another room) I would have been one seriously angry guest. You guys need to think about things like this and make other arrangements if you overbooked BEFORE the guests arrive. Again, thank you for finding another room, but this could have easily been a big disaster for me and my wife. What would you have done for your guest if there was no other rooms available close by? I assume we would have just been left to fend for ourselves, sadly.

Pleasant staff, good Wifi and great location. Good security.

Dilapidated, not very clean. Smelly, threadbare towels. Had to ask for the fridge, the kettle and a cup. TV dangerously plugged into the bathroom socket with door left open. Noisy yard right outside ground floor rooms.
