Everywhere we have stayed in Japan has been lovely and welcoming. This hotel is a cut above the rest. The staff were attentive and kind, understanding and helpful, and so incredibly warm. The location cannot be beat and offers such a lovely perspective on what lies beyond the doors of Kyōto

Everything—from the check-in to the overall experience—was truly exceptional. I had one of the most magical and special stays at this ryokan. The staff were incredibly kind, polite, and always willing to help, making me feel welcome from the very beginning. The room was immaculate, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the snacks provided were delicious. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and I had everything I needed for a perfect stay. I only wish I could have stayed longer. As it was my birthday, the experience became even more meaningful. I had the most incredible birthday, and the staff surprised me with a small gift and such thoughtful kindness. They made it an unforgettable and deeply memorable experience that I will cherish forever.

"A charming ryokan in the most picturesque and traditional area of Kyoto"

A charming ryokan in the middle of the most picturesque and traditional area of Kyoto. Very close to Hokan-ji temple (Yasaka Pagoda), to Yasaka Shrine, and to the famous Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka streets. You really feel like you are in ancient Japan in this area and what a better place to stay than a traditional-style hotel like Kyokoyado Yasaka Yutone. It has everything you could wish for: a superb location, excellent services and amenities and a warm an attentive staff. I came to Kyoto last year and stayed there and I knew right away this was the place I wanted to stay at the next time. I just stayed there a second time this month and I enjoyed it very much. I am looking forward to come back here again!
