"Peaceful respite"

The inn is so peaceful and all the staff very accommodating. It is so quiet and calming after a busy day of sightseeing. Our room included a private garden and cedar tub. The Japanese breakfast was a great experience as well with great chef and lovely hostess. Such a wonderful experience of a traditional ryokan!

There is nothing I can recommend to change. Everything was perfect!

"Incredible experience for a romantic getaway."

The dinner was incredible. It was not just a meal, it was an experience! It felt like we were dining in a Michelin star restaurant. The room itself is very cozy and relaxing. The bed is comfortable and the facilities are nice. Lots of fun goodies as well!

We wish we’d stayed longer!

"Amazing!"

The room was amazing, with a view to a beautiful garden. All the staff are super nice and I completly recommend having the kaiseki breakfast, it’s delicious and really typical! You have your own “onsen” in the bathroom and they provide some drinks and snacks, all included. Really an experience to repeat!

"Absolutely recommend, my favorite stay of our trip to Japan."

The traditional style of this hotel has so much charm. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming at the door every time. They went out of their way to help us by storing our suitcases before checking in and after checking out of the hotel and even went as far to draw us a homemade map of the way to our destination. The staff also gifted us a wonderful souvenir for our honeymoon and made our trip to Kyoto very special. Absolutely recommend staying here for the value, the hotel experience but also the location, being so close to beautiful structures and temples.

"A traditional and central spot in the heart of Kyoto"
