Riverside Country House

Property was amazing, definitely value for money.

Sharing the toilet and shower, took a while for to get ready

Charming house in quiet neighborhood. Comfortable beds and bedding. Spacious and beautiful garden. Visited on a cold night and there were plenty of electric blankets and portable heating on standby.

If you plan on cooking, the kitchen sink, fridge and the oven are not ideally situated near each other. Since we didn't cook. And there are plenty of restaurants closeby, it was fine!

The house was very clean and fully equipped, the backyard is amazing and Lynette is very friendly

The house was amazingly comfortable and those beds were just the chefs kiss. My sciatica was very happy with those mattresses. I had the pleasure of trying out both, as I had to lie with our daughter until she fell asleep resulting in me falling asleep there too! This was fantastic to me as I usually have to take meds to fall asleep, and every morning I would wake up with the meds still next to me on the side table as I would fall asleep before even taking them! Our absolute favourite was sitting on the back stoep looking out at the view of the forest and pool while watching the rain - lest I forget listening to the river (which is right behind the house) flow - it was so peaceful and relaxing. Our 8 year old had a fantastic time as well, as there are little swings under this beautiful big tree that she loved to go to while it was raining. We had our dog aka furbaby with us and he had a ball of a time, and when we got back home he had serious holiday blues, in fact we all did 😭. It took him a full day to come out of his depression. Lynette was a wonderful host making us feel very comfortable even when the storm decided to blow off the lounge chair and break the umbrella during the night. Our weekend was definitely one for books with spending some quality family time together even with the weather being bad. We simply cannot wait to go back! Hopefully next time we'll be luckier with the weather 😄

Unfortunately because we didn't have great weather, an undercover braai area for those times when the rain just doesn't give up would've been great. Especially since we planned to braai all our meals 😂
