Riverside Country House

You know how you look at photos and go "Nah it can't be that good"? These photos don't lie! There's something about arriving somewhere and feeling like you can exhale - especially after your toddler's over being in a car seat for a long drive .. and Riverside Cottage is definitely one of those places. The hammock was so welcomed. There's a river right next to the cottage that beats any white noise machine. I appreciated every detail - so well thought out - extra blankets placed within arms reach all aroud the house; the wood burner was ready for us - we just needed to light it; the kitchen had everything we needed to prep a meal; the layout and the smell of the place made me feel like I was deserving of a break in comfort. The views are just, wow. Lynette was very accommodating, which is amazing when you're trying to work around a naptime. Communication was great. Thank you for a great stay - would love to visit again for a longer period because one day was definitely not enough! Definitely have a peek at that bookshelf upstairs :)

The decor was excellent, and the house had everything we needed for a breakaway. It is very spacious house. The friendly host lit the fire in the fireplace to heat up the house before our arrival.

Would have love to give a higher rating then 10/10.

Overall, this is a beautiful home. Given the 2 bedrooms and one bathroom it suited us as girls sharing. There isn't a guest toilet downstairs.

Please put a non-white towel in the bathroom. Luckily, we carried a spare towel as we don't want to leave make-up on beautiful towels. The bed in the red room needs replacing. It creaked and my sister experienced back ache. Please fix the key lock for exit.

Absolutely stunning and charming property. Great value for money and quite convenient with dry wood provided and captivating being so close to the river. Peaceful and serene, amazing dining areas inside and outside.

Non negotiable on check in and check out times. Check out at 10am leaves very little room to shower, pack, prepare breakfast and beat the deadline time to check out. Unless you prepare the previous night or wake up very early to afford everyone an opportunity to use bathroom since there's only one.

Larger beds would have been a bonus.

First of all the house was absolutely gorgeous with big spaces and a large back yard. Very beautiful decoration throughout the house with details that really made a difference and it feels like home! The house had literally everything you could ask for and even more!! All the appliances are branded and top notch. The location is excellent, walking distance to restaurants and shops and very close to the center. As for the host is concerned, Lynette, the words are not enough because except being an amazing host, she is far and foremost a wonderful person and this is what matters for me the most!! Definetely coming back!!

The wifi was a bit slow but that for me was not such a big deal and it had nothing to do with the property itself, i pressume its the provider!
