High Chaparral Cottages

This is such a unique and wonderful property. Hosts were so welcoming, attentive and helpful. There were so many friendly animals roaming the property, if you are an animal lover, this is a very fun place! Breakfast was amazing and reasonably priced as well as very flexible (especially for those who like to sleep in a little bit on holiday.) Scooter rental, tricycle booking, island hopping tours etc can also be booked through hosts who were very helpful with making your stay as convenient and enjoyable as possible. Location was close to town but far enough that it was quiet. Less than 10 min walk (however, depending on the time of year, the tide can be high enough that you need to walk through the waves to get there. This isn’t bad though if you time it correctly) Nita and Hans were exceptional hosts. They even organized a surprise birthday breakfast with decorations and pancakes for my partner which was so special. We hope to come back one day!

Roosters were noisy at night, ear plugs definitely helped.

Excellent location- right next to town but very quiet and lots of space. Staff were so helpful and friendly, and helped us book everything from boat trips to ferry tickets to scooters. Highly recommend

The location was close to the Town Square (about 5 mins walk). If you want to go to the beach, the shore was just across the street. It was relaxing seating on the front patio watching the animals.

No A/C and fridge. I would recommend an outdoor bug zapper and mosquito net for beds.

Good location, in 5 minutes you are in El Nido Beach where all the restaurants, bars, etc. are. The hotel itself is situated in a quiet, large garden. Breakfast is good with lots of fresh fruit. You are surrounded by lots of animals. Hans and Nit are very helpfull and have a lot of good tips.

Lovely ambiance with animals in a natural setting. Continental breakfast on cottage verandah was food value at 200P. helpful staff.

The wifi was very weak and intermittent... not reliable and not up to standard for the price. No aircon. The 2 fans provided did the job quite well.

Great place - next to center - but silent. Great owner, careing so much, helping with all things.

Internet just dont work there.. mobile coverage is also absent. Not possible to work online. But soon they will have starlink and things should improve. And in hot season AC is recommended, was hard with only fans.

Loved pretty much everything about High Chaparral. The owners, Nita and Hanz, are lovely and they have loads of animals around. The location is perfect, because you can get to town by 5 minute walk, there's a beach by the door of the property and it's quiet at night to get some good rest. I really would've loved to spend more time in this place, and enjoy more of their company and the beautiful baby goats they have around. They offer a great breakfast in the mornings, which they will accommodate to your needs (I'm vegetarian). I definitely recommend this place <3
