High Chaparral Cottages

Nitz and the staff here were so friendly and helpful. It felt like a home away from home. I loved the animals, the breakfast was good, the location was nice in that there were lots trees and felt like an oasis in the craziness and concrete of El Nido and it was only a short walk around the bluff from the main part of El Nido. I walked alone at night and felt completely safe. The ensuite bathroom was huge in my room and it was nice to have flushing toilets. The AC worked really well. They did my washing, had great restaurant recommendations and even let me try cashew fruit.

My room wasn't massively sound proofed from the people next door who were VERY inconsiderate noise wise. Nitz then spoke to them and they were more normal and quieter after that, which helped, but just in case you get bad neighbours, I'd bring ear plugs.

Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Big room, no air con but the fans were plenty good enough. Love the location just around the corner from town. Lots of goats and farm animals added to the experience.

Dated room and furniture, WiFi not working

Great location - just far enough from the hustle and bustle but still walkable. Niz was great, very approachable and we were very happy with the tours/bike we rented. Our laundry was the cleanest we've ever had it - the girls did a great job.

The shower was awful - the pressure was very poor and I ended up having to rinse out the conditioner under the bathroom tap!

Great location, within walking distance to town. Nits and her hubby were super friendly and hospitable. Kids loved the goats. Room had everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay at High Chaparral Cottages! Very peaceful place surrounded by beautiful nature, conveniently located 10 min away from the hustle and bustle of El Nido. The bungalow was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was delicious! There was a little farm, which we especially enjoyed as animal lovers. Made friends with an adorable baby goat! However my most favourite part were the lovely owners - they were super welcoming and helped us book activities. It was very nice to sit down at breakfast and have a little chat about life with Nitz and Hans. Felt like visiting family! Thank you for the amazing time. Hopefully, we will be back!

Early wake up call from roosters

Very nice location, in a quiet part of El Nido but only 5 minutes walking from the main centre. The hosts are welcoming and serve a tasty breakfast. Good restaurants close by as well.
