ETHER Marari Beachfront

Quiet, central location. Dinner was excellent. Lovely private beach and beautiful gardens. It felt authentic and luxurious.

Beachfront location, comfortable rooms and a nice small swimming pool. Gardens were also immaculate and the food was very nice.

All food had to be ordered by text a few hours before, which the manager explained why. The fruit juice also has added syrup which for the price we paid should be standard.

Scelta perfetta per passare qualche giorno di relax in una struttura molto accogliente e con diverse opzioni di stanze. A due passi dalla spiaggia, con piscina immersa nel verde. Personale super disponibile e accogliente, pronto ad accogliere ogni richiesta.

Il cibo può migliorare decisamente.

Property is near to the beach and very calm situated. Garden is beautiful and the fish in the pond are plenty. The staff is very nice and helpful in any way. Dinner can be ordered over WhatsApp and is tasty. Breakfast is OK.

Moskito nets would be helpful, although the plug against moskitos is provided.

This home stay is more like a boutique resort with 8 lovely villas with amenities akin to a resort. The location, which is bang on the beach is terrific and so was the staff led by Maxon who’s an amazing person to talk to and get things organised, whatever one needs (cabs, bikes, etc). Nidhin and Amal (don’t know if I remember the name correctly) were entrusted for our lunch coordination and other housekeeping requirements and was great as well. Our 2 day stay where we came in to celebrate my wife’s b’day was extremely lovely due to the location on and the amazing team

The main entry/exit gate needs to be staffed better (more ppl or better ppl) to facilitate easy entry and exit of guests. The food and beverage quality is inconsistent. On the first day the lunch dishes were superb (certain local curry dishes which we decided upon). However, in dinner the chicken 65 was tasteless, overcooked, dry and one of the worst I’ve ever tasted. Also they served a ‘virgin mojito’ which was just fresh lime soda without any mint (among the worst I’ve had). Fruits were tasteless which was a surprise considering that wherever else we had fruits in Kerala (Wayanad, Kozhikode and Alleppey), in our 9 day trip they were fresh and tasted amazing. The next day breakfast options were also not up to the mark. At dinner the food was good again (basic curry dishes). Due to this we did our next day lunch and even our complimentary breakfast at CGH Earth which is ~3.5 km from Ether Marari which was fabulous. The management should look closely at procurement of products and quality/ consistency of chefs. There is some problem which we couldn’t figure out. But otherwise the team led by Maxon is great and was helpful to provide whatever support they could to make our stay great.

Location location location! With two toddlers we wanted a place right at the beach with less than 200 feet from our cottage and this was it! We hardly walked for a min and we were at the beach! The property fence is only 2 feet tall and is right in the sand of the beach. Sunsets were spectacular too. Paradise with a young family! Cleanest pool and yummy food adds to the experience. Fish pond and beautiful flowers were appreciated too by my toddlers. Maxon and his team ( Nidhin, Amal, and the housekeeping staff) took very good care of our food and baby needs.. All in all a great peaceful secluded quiet holiday gem!
