Leider war ein Mitarbeiter in seiner Art alles zur Zufriedenheit der Gäste zu erfüllen zu aufdringlich. Das widerspricht aufgrund der gehobenen Preiskategorie dem Anspruch des Hotels auf einen entspannte Atmosphäre.

Beautifully remote location, with what equated to a private beach, which was well-maintained. Lots of lovely places to sit around the property, the rooftop overlooking the beach was a firm favourite to watch the sunrise. We had a twin room (which was a new building) and was very spacious, and comfortable, and both my sister and I had wide single beds, our own wardrobes and in the bathroom, a sink each! We enjoyed daily swims in the pool and the ocean, and Maxon arranged a boat trip on the backwaters which was a holiday highlight.

The food was great in the restaurant; however, getting many texts from the kitchen staff urging us to get to breakfast earlier, or dinner on time was tiresome.

Clean and location (on the beach), friendly staff

The hotel is located a mile or so south of the main town and beach. It's right on the water with its own small, very clean beach, which is set off from adjacent beaches and not amenable to long beach walks. The 2-story main building has a common sitting room on the ground floor and an open, spacious area with lounge chairs, tables, and chairs on the second floor overlooking the water. The entire property is planted with beautiful gardens. A pool and sitting area behind the main building are clean and attractive. Bedrooms are behind the pool area. Ours was a separate, spacious, quiet, and clean room with private bathroom, ample hot water and water pressure, reliable WiFi, and comfortable bed. The common dining room area was farther back from the beach and pool. The owner and "his boys" as he calls them were very hospitable and responsive. At our request, we had dinner and a couple of beers overlooking the beach on the second floor of the main building. The food was ample, very good, and reasonably priced.

The only downsides we experienced were the hotel's isolated location and the lack of opportunity for long beach walks. However, it would have been easy for us to get a cheap tuk-tuk into town.

La chance nous a souri puisque nous avons été surclassés. Alors un grand merci à Maxon pour cette belle attention. Nous avons donc eu la suite avec piscine privée et vue imprenable sur la mer ! L'endroit est de tout repos. On en oublirait presque que l'on se trouve en Inde :) Le jardin est parfaitement entretenu. La piscine tout autant. Plage à quelques métres. Il n'y a qu'à se laisser vivre. Les repas doivent être commandés assez à l'avance (au moins 2 heures avant votre heure de repas) mais les plats sont copieux et très bons. Pas un seul bruit dans ce havre de paix. Magnifique SPA à quelques kilomètres de là. Maxon se fera un plaisir de vous réserver un tuk-tuk. Bréf, la paradis

Domage que nous ne soyons pas restés plus longtemps. Une nuit c'est bien trop peu.

Wonderful start to our Kerala trip. Communication with Maxon was excellent and super helpful arranging transport from the airport and during our stay. The decor and finish of our room (sea view apartment) was lovely, including an ace bathroom. The sea view from the room was perfect. Restaurant, garden, veranda and pool were all relaxing spaces to enjoy, as was the excellent beach and bath warm sea. Food was excellent and good value. Special mention to Gipson and Amal who looked after us - both charming and always on hand via WhatsApp. Thank you to all the team at Ether for looking after us and sharing this beautiful space.
