IEIt was beautiful setting and Maxon and his staff could not do enough for us. So helpful. Organising a trip to alleppy, tuc tucs, taxi. The food was also very good and I had once of the nicest curries on my whole stay in india Panner

NLHeerlijk ruime, schone en comfortabele accomodatie. Het beste bed wat we in India hebben gehad. Er staan bedjes en parasols bij het zwembad en het strand. Daarnaast is er een groot overkapt deck, dus genoeg plek om te ontspannen. Het eten is ook erg lekker, vooral de Indiase gerechten. De laatste dag van het verblijf kreeg ik griep en de host was erg behulpzaam, gaf ons veel tips en reed direct mijn vriend naar de apotheek. Al het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, vooral de manager die de laatste dag extra zijn best voor ons deed omdat ik ziek was. Ik zou deze plek zeker aanbevelen, vooral als je even echt wilt ontspannen na alle drukte in India.

CHUSThis ETHER Marari Beachfront booking was special because it was my bday escape from US. It took me in total 30 hours to get to a room of Ether. The resort is very nice and new. Room is well maintained and grounds are great. It’s beach front hotel but has no beach lounge beds on the beach and it’s quite remote from any stores or restaurant and for the price (which is higher end) provided only breakfast and charged for other meals, which again very much so lack of care for customers but seeing them as cash items. The ground staff, housekeeping and kitchen staff are very kind, nice, and helpful. The manager was also nice but with purpose. He got defensive when I confronted him for the prices he quoted me in local attraction in Alleppey, he charged me double for what is general price. Also, he charged me double for taxi to the hotel. He uped the price of tuck-tuck even after agreed on different price originally, and lied why. Again, such an obvious abuse of travelers. The resort is quite remote so I couldn’t orders my own auto so I was dependent on the manager for coordination. Also, when checking out he charged for everything and added some mysterious taxes of $70 usd. I spoke to the owner and she gave me some unreasonable excuses that the taxes have changed since I booked the hotel…. Which I booked 2weeks prior to the arrival. Again, lies and abuse of travelers. These financial exchanges and abuse makes me think again if I would go back to Kerala at all in the future. Not a good look for the resort. Generally, I don’t write reviews unless it’s clear violation of values I hold up. So please think before you engage in such practices as a human and representative of your state and people, and business.
