ETHER Marari Beachfront

From the minute you enter you realise you’ve found a little bit of paradise in Marari, India. The resort fronts onto the beach and you can hear the waves. The manager Maxon is so attentive and helpful and made our stay perfect. The staff including Gipson, Amal, and Nitin are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble and service always comes with a smile. George the chef cooks up delicious food. And the ladies that maintain the garden and the rooms are so friendly and kindly. What about the pool - perfect. The food - delicious. The gardens -idyllic.

The location of the property is just amazing. The picture perfect sunset views, the soothing sound of the waves and serene, non crowded atmosphere is just what we wanted for a relaxing vacation. The staff is super helpful and brings in a family environment which was very comforting. Food is delicious and freshly cooked. We would definitely visit Ether again!

Friendly staff and nice new facilities. Dinner and breakfast had to be served separately, not a lot of choice. Beach access was small but nice.

After exploring Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, and Varanasi, we were definitely ready for some relaxation — and The Ether Beach delivered everything we could have hoped for! The property is beautiful: lush gardens, a lovely pool, and plenty of peaceful spaces to unwind. The food was fantastic, fresh, and full of flavour. A special mention to the staff — warm, friendly, and always willing to help. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. We relaxed, made new friends, and genuinely didn’t want to leave. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. A perfect escape! 🌴✨

3 days of serenity in a beachfront room with private plunge pool. Waking and dropping off to sleep with just the waves to listen to. My room and indeed the roof terrace and beach face west so perfect sunset spot. Pretty gardens with an open feel...Great food cooked to order, crab massala and seafood thali stood out. Good to walk down the beach in the early morning to see the fishermen sorting their catch and tidying the nets. Max and his team do anything required to make your trip feel special and indeed its like family, a true homestay experience. They will organise trips and transport reliably to make that early transfer less worrying. Ether is on the move upwards and I will be back at some point! Thanks guys.

I think that looking over previous reviews, the property has had works done and is now in a phase between a homestay and a hotel, its on a journey. The recent reviews reflect where the venue is now, so be guided by them would be my advice.

Everything. Hotel is wonderful. A word of warning. If you are on your way to Varkala as we were, you won’t find any place to stay like this!! It’s super clean, excellent food in fact we decided we wanted lunch at 2 pm and this was no problem they just needed an hour notice to gather ingredients and it’s all made from scratch. Superb!! Lovely pool area. Very tranquil and quiet. If you do want to go along the beach to have lunch it’s quite a walk but nice. There are a few beach shacks but our advice is stay put! Let Maxon the manager and his wonderful staff look after you. It’s super quiet which at first was a shock but we arrived in Varkala and realised how much nicer Murari beach is! Especially the cleanliness!! Watch the sunset from the beach outside. Sit on the chairs and chill. It’s magical.
