Solana Wellness Retreat

I don’t even have the words to describe the hotel, it is like a small peaceful paradise on earth. You can definitely see a lot of effort was put on details, design and comfort. It is very aesthetic, the architecture is modern yet authentic. You feel “home” when you step in. The staff was so nice, kind and sweet. They were always ready to help and support. Special thanks to Putu for being such an amazing host. (Promise we will do our river walk my friend) Ah! Bonus point, THE BREAKFAST is amazing. The bathroom is heavenly. And the beds feel like clouds. For solo female travelers, it is very safe. Note: the restaurant is vegetarian.

The only thing I can think of is the alley leading to the hotel which is not something the hotel can control. I is dark and you can barely see the hotel lights, hence it can be confusing if you order Gojek & co and a bit scary due to the dogs but if you have a driver, it isn’t something to worry about.

I feel like I need to explain my 3 out of 10 rating of solana because this place is a really nice place it’s just not what we wanted for our accommodation. Solana is a health and wellness resort in every regard. From the vegetarian/vegan menu to yoga in the mornings (for a fee) to all the vegetation. The place is super clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Our issues was because they strive to keep this very organic they have insects everywhere even frogs/fish in the pool people swim in. They mentioned they don’t use chlorine because it’s a chemical. The showers in your room have frogs in them at times, spiders, geckos you name it is either in your bedroom, bathroom everywhere. The wifi here is also AWEFUL you will be lucky to stay connected more than 2-3mins. We almost couldnt pay for our stay because the credit card machine wasn’t working. Although this place is ascetically pleasing, it’s quite impractical. There is limited seating and at times during breakfast when everyone comes to eat there is no spot. One last thing to mention is because of how the place is constructed it provides lots of shade and little places to enjoy some sun. Even the pool/pond is covered by the building. Anyways i hope this gives insight to others to what to expect. Absolutely amazing staff and good food but just not for us.

A little isolated, had to learn the locality for using a scooter to get around, but once familiar, all good.

swimming pool is not a pool, it’s a natural pool , green with golden fish- it was disappointing, because you can’t use it breakfast on menu, but you order and that haven’t it, or change something in menu we are not recommend staying there, it’s over priced

Best place on Ubud if u want calm and peace ✌️

Loved everything

Satisfaction in order 1. Breakfast is wonderful, one person gets to choose two menu along with two drink menus. All were aesthetically pleasing/healthy/delicious. Our favourite was definitely the fruit smoothiebowl😋 2. Beautiful resort with tranquil atmosphere. Loved the general scenery and the outdoor bathroom. 3.Morning yoga class with the price of only 100k idr per person at the most beautiful patio of the resort. The instructor was very skilled and helpful. 4. All staff were exceptionally kind and helped us with all necessary matters. Loved the stay, and definitely will come back with my mum soon🥰

The only problem we had were we were devoured by mosquitos. We each were at least bitten by mosquitoes 20 times over the course of 3 days. It would be best if the resort could provide some anti-mosquito products at our room 😂 However it is understandable since there are ponds and fountains that are maintained without any chemicals.
