Amboseli Discovery Camp

Staff very nice except management who does not know what she sell (sefari). Food is very good - except lunch box, too basic. Overall spece is very nice except small details that could be easily improved (no bedside light !)

We are all here for game druve, aren t we ? Then you shall not come here !! No map to show different options, old et dusty vehicule, very expensive for what we get (9am to 5 pm = 250$), co sidering a driver who is absolytely not a guide, bored all day, answering liars, not interested at all by animals, but only to come back as early as possible to the camp (we were admiring lions at 4:30, after 5 min, we had to leave to be on time at the camp !!). Please dont waste your money here, it is not a professional place for safari. Generaly speaking, amboseli is a small park not really worth the visit compared to Tsavo East / West or maasai mara !!

Great spot, recently opened and inside the park itself. Elephants are visible near cqmp gate, zebra are 50 meteres from the swimming pool. Fire site and a view point for Kilimanjaro

Food is great but could be improved - no correct coffee available.

Nice new property, quiet, nice view of mount Kilimanjaro, very close to amboseli park. Can see wild animals whilst on the property roaming around. Friendly staff. Good food.

Sometimes at night electricity goes off, but fixed quickly.

Die Lage am Rande des Nationalparks mit einem Wasserloch ist super! Man kann regelmäßig Tiere inkl. Löwen vom Camp aus beobachten.

Während unseres Aufenthalts gab es mehrere Pannen an unserem Zelt. Zunächst hat die Wasserversorgung nicht funktioniert, so dass wir übergangsweise in einem anderen Zelt untergebracht wurden. Anschließend gab es Probleme mit der Elektrik. Die über die Unterkunft vermittelte Safari war viel zu teuer und der Guide schlecht ausgebildet. Er konnte zudem kaum englisch. Die Zelte sind ok aber einfach gehalten.

Helpful staff that go above and beyond. Friendly cats that live on the grounds. Delicious food, wonderful views.

The tents can be quite far from the entrance and restaurant, which is mostly inconvenient when it rains and the gravel path becomes flooded.

Die atemberaubende Landschaft. Das ganze Camp wie es so natürlich und trotzdem komfortabel. Das Personal ist extrem hilfsbereit.

Die Lage ist einzigartig, mit direktem Blick auf den Kilimanjaro, unmittelbar an einer Wasserstelle,zu der die Tiere kommen ( Elefanten, Zebras, Antilopen und :...Löwen !!!) Das Camp ist nachts durch unauffälligen Elektrozaun geschützt .. ....das Leben in Zelten passt perfekt zur Natur,... beim abendlichen Lagerfeuer treffen sich Gäste aus aller Welt,...die Verpflegung ist abwechslungsreich - bei hoher Besucherfrequenz in Buffetform,...

...in der Dusche war zu wenig Wasser, warmes Wasser kommt erst nach langem Vorlauf,....die Beleuchtung im Zelt ist mit einer hellweißen Deckenlampe wirklich ungemütlich ...aber : der afrikanische, supernette Eigentümer hat gelacht , sich für unsere Anregungen bedankt und sofort Abhilfe versprochen... Man will wie Hemingway das echte Safarigefühl...?....Hier bekommt man es ...100 %...
