We loved it here! It was authentic and a bit rustic, a true Amboseli experience. Animals came to the water hole everyday and the fire was lit each evening to enjoy. The pool was lovely and clean when you needed a cool down.

The guest service was very good

The shower water only trickled out. Directions to the camp, when approaching from outside the park, were difficult especially at night -- need for more signage

1. Problems with water. In the evening, as we'd arrived, there was no hot water; 2. Very limited selection of food, and as to us, not well-cooked; 3. Instant coffee, as for Kenya, it's a shame. At the same time, the stay wasn't that cheap. We'd expected more for that price.

La vue sur le Kilimandjaro quand celui ci est découvert. L’espace piscine avec vue, très bien équipé avec serviettes propres à disposition. Les tentes sont meublées de manière moderne avec de belles salle de bain avec eau chaude. Les espaces communs sont bien entretenus et moderne. Le coin « feu de camp » qui est alimenté tous les soirs.

Le lit « double » est vraiment petit pour deux. Les tentes sont très rapprochés donc on entend facilement les voisins. Le connexion wifi est insuffisante dans la tente. Les prix de la boutique souvenir sont surfaits. La route d’accès n’est pas indiquée et est dans un état catastrophique.

All the staff were wonderful, very kind, helpful, and honest. The view of Mount Kilimanjaro is absolutely beautiful and visible from all rooms. We were initially hesitant to book after reading a review mentioning a problem with late arrivals, but our experience was completely different. We arrived late, and everything went smoothly. No one tried to overcharge or scam us, they treated us very well throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Amboseli Discovery Camp is a place where you truly become one with the wild. You don’t just watch nature here — you live inside it. The camp is cozy, clean, and full of authentic safari spirit. Everything is simple yet soulful — nothing unnecessary, just you, nature, and the endless African plains.
