Vipul and his wife are true hosts; they made us feel at home, they want you to spend a great time and you feel it in your heart ☺️ Thank you for the amazing guide tour in the city, spending the day with Vipul to see all we wanted from tea factory, gem factory to Bahiwara temple and the tooth temple - he would share all the stories about Kandy in a perfect english. And special well done for the accommodation and breakfasts/dinners: at first we wanted to go out and experience the food in the city BUT after the first dinner we decided to have food all the time there: food quality is the best we had in our whole trip, we always compared the food and it never matched it 😎 the view from the room is a plus plus, so peaceful but not that far away from the city center so you can reach it easily. Vipul and his wife are very caring - also helped us to get our train to Ella the last day after some challenges. We would highly recommend this place and would go back anytime we would be again in Sri Lanka. Thank you 🙏🥹

We had the best time at Hideaway Homestay which is located roughly 15 minutes by tuktuk from Kandy and conveniently located to visit the nearby botanical gardens. From the very comfortable mattresses, good equipment (hair dryer, comfortable chair and cozy lights) to the nice terrace which is great for a relaxed breakfast or morning Yoga. But the best are the super friendly hosts who made us feel like coming home every day, while also respecting the need for privacy. They are very knowledgeable and due to their good English cannot only help out with every need but also give interesting insights into the people and culture of Sri Lanka. Also the provided breakfast and dinner was the best we had during our travels on the islands. All in all the perfect place, if you prefer a calmer environment than being in the busy city.

One side of the bed had no power outlet, but that's nothing compared to everything else that was great.

Staying at Hideaway Homestay in Kandy was such a special experience! From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. It honestly felt like coming home. The food was incredible—hands down the best curry we had during our entire trip through Sri Lanka! Every meal was cooked with so much love, and we looked forward to it every day. The rooms were super clean, and we really enjoyed sitting on the covered balcony with its beautiful view. It was such a peaceful spot to relax. We’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Kandy and will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Sri Lanka!

Vipul, the host, is incredibly helpful and willing to think along with his guests. For instance, he helped us arrange a train ticket from Kandy to Ella. The accommodation has everything you need, including a comfortable and spacious bed. It is also exceptionally clean. The value for money is outstanding. We highly recommend this accommodation!

Good Place for the Get Relaxing

This was the perfect place to rest our head after a busy day of travelling from Sigiriya to Kandy. The room itself is exceptional and very spacious & modern with an amazing view from the balcony where we had the most amazing breakfast prepped by the host (they even made us date cake to celebrate Xmas!) The bathroom and shower were superb. The hosts were loveliest people and very accommodating. . If you get up early you can see a great sunrise from the hill top on your balcony!

Everything was perfect but just to be aware the accommodation is up a steep hill but they provide parking on premises if driving and we were able to make it up on our Tuk Tuk :)
