Hideaway Homestay kandy

Very warm welcome by the hosts, absolutely beautiful and well maintained, spacious place with beautiful views.The food was great and facilities excellent. Much as we enjoyed the place, it was the hosts that really made us feel that we were staying with old friends. A short but memorable stay, would love to go back again, recommended with 5 stars!

Everything! The room was so comfortable with everything we needed for a great stay. Vipul took us on a tour of Kandy and it was so interesting and enjoyable. We also ate breakfast and dinner here and it was delicious! Thank you for welcoming us into your home, it was our best homestay and we've already recommended you to other people :-)

The warm welcome from Kosala and Vipul has been the highlight of our stay. They really made us feel at home. As we arrived, they were two strangers, but as we left, they were to very good friends to us. They were very helpful with everything, answered all our questions, and Kosala's cooking was always delicious. They were always keen on making sure we were satisfied with everything. The room and bathroom were both very clean and confortable. The bed was also very comfortable. We also really enjoyed the big terrace with table and chair which allowed us to regularly relax, eat and/or work on our computers. The place is situated about 15min drive from the main center but this allows for a very calm and quiet place. Kosala and Vipul's english is very good which allowed for really great exchanges.

It would be hard to find any negative point. As we stayed 10 days there, we enjoyed preparing and eating our own food a few times, and we were just missing a sink to do so, but that said, Kosala and Vipul were always keen on helping us out and providing what we needed. They told us that they are planning on adding such facility on the terrace which will render the place even better for those who, like us, like to prepare and eat their own food at times.

We had an amazing stay at Hideaway Homestay Kandy, we felt instantly at home. Vipul drove us around Kandy to see all the highlights and when we got home Kosala cooked us the most delicious dinner (maybe even the best we had in the whole of Sri Lanka!). Both of them are very welcoming and open and we had such nice and interesting conversations with the four of us. The two sweet dogs are also very welcoming :) In addition, the bed was more comfy than my own... The last morning Vipul even drove us to the train station and bought us tickets. Thank you both for all the great care! I would recommend this lovely homestay to everybody!

Absolutely amazing Homestay! The room was clean, modern and comfortable with incredible views from the balcony. The hosts are incredible! They are friendly and they really make you feel like part of the family. All the meals I had there were super delicious. It is a bit out of Kandy so it is really peaceful and quiet. I loved it. I also think this would be a great place for people who want to do remote work.

I loved everything.

We loved the Hideaway Homestay. A lovely room with a very comfortable bed and nice bathroom / shower. Vipul and his wife were excellent hosts and made our stay so easy. They really helped us feel at home in Kandy and were very helpful in advising us on train tickets, places to eat and travel plans.

this homestay was amazing! we had a wonderful time staying here, the owner are incredibly nice and accommodating. They made delicious dinner and breakfast for us every day, picked us up from the train station and drove us around and showed us all the wonderful sights of Kandy. It was very affordable as well. We would highly recommend staying here if you want to have a very welcoming, personal and homely experience :))

Not necessarily a bad thing, but just be aware that the homestay is located out of the city center so you will need to be driven around to get to the different places in Kandy.

It was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka by far. Hosts are incredibly helpful and friendly and nothing is too much for them. The food is great too! And the best part...incredible views from the balcony and the most comfortable bed we had the entire week. Wold defnitely stay there again!

It was great! It rained which was a shame but nothing to do with the host ahaha!
