Sapa Hillcrest homestay

We stayed for one night and it was amazing! At first we had some problems with transport to the homestay, but we managed to get to the homestay by motorbike. The road is a bit bumpy, but the pin on the map is accurate and it’s also an easy walk down the hill from the main street. Pe, his brother and whole family were very friendly and kind! We did short walk around and had family dinner with them - food was delicious and it was a great experience for us! Accommodation was clean and modern, hot shower and clean bedsheets ;)) In the morning Pe’s family made pancakes and organised a ride back to Sapa city to catch our bus for us. Soo kind, thanks!

Everything was perfect!

Very nice family with whom you can share a lot Delicious breakfast with Vietnamese coffee, pancakes with local honey, and mangos or bananas.

Perfect place to get away from Sapa stress. The host is really nice and always happy to help in anything or even to show you around. You will get to know all his family and even take part in their daily life if you wish. Really recommended.

Pe, the host, is the nicest person you'll meet in Sapa. He will try to help you in whatever way he can. The family really welcomes you with open arms, and eating dinner with them every night really shows you Vietnamese culture. Pe's brother also offers trekking tours through the mountains, which I did for one day. We barely saw any other tourists, even though there are many in Sapa, and we also got to swim at a waterfall. The cabin itself is really neat and cosy, and the showers are good. Tip: if you bring nail pollish, you'll instantly make friends with the little girls in the family😊

The location is a bit outside of Sapa, but Pe can help you get a taxi for a fair price.

We had a beatuful 4 night stay there. Pe and his family were very welcoming and helpful. The stay is located in perfect distance to Sa Pa so you could enjoy nature while quickly being in the center. From the homestay you have a beautiful view over the valley and the rice fields. If you have the possibility we would highly recommend you eating dinner with the family. The food is amazing!

We had an amazing 2 nights stay at the Hillcrest Homestay. We booked the deluxe bungalow and the view was just astonishing. The family was super friendly and provided us with everything we needed. The Homestay is only staring up but so far they were doing a wonderful job. The 2 brothers who run the place both speak very well English and are certified guides for the Fansipan. If you are up for the challenge, we would definitely recommend the 1 day hike of the highest mountain of Vietnam. They also offer a walk through the villages and rice fields, far away from the paved pathways everyone takes. Lastly we joined the family dinner (for a small surplus) where they served amazing food. It was a real authentic experience. Just as an fyi, if you are coming from Sapa we would recommend to just rent a motorbike for the duration of the stay. Bike rental is cheap in Vietnam and part of road to the Homestay is difficult to reach by car.

Just WOW. We were so amazed by this places! The views?! The family?! Everything was just perfect, we felt like part of the family. If i could, I’d definitely spent like month here. Thank you for having us!

Okay, so usually I don’t write reviews, so this one is special, Pe and his family is a MUST stay in Sapa, they’re the closest to a family I had in Vietnam, warm welcome, cozy stay and a lot to learn about them, plus the best Family dinners. I sincerely hope that his homestay will be the most recommended in Sapa because God knows this guys are Great!

How I was treated like another member of the family

Staying with Pe and his lovely family on their farm/homestay was one of the best and most authentic experiences in Vietnam for us. They were very kind and you get to know them and their culture over dinner. The food was good, fresh and there was always plenty for everyone. We stayed 4 nights and loved every second of it. The trekking we did with them was beautiful as well.
