Well I don’t think bread and jam qualify for the title ‘ continental breakfast’

Leaving a trainee as sole receptionist at night who wouldn’t take anything other than Dalasi in cash was good at all… I wasn’t about to trust him with my visa payment and certainly not his request to keep my passport in a drawer overnight.. it took 45 minutes to check in and it was only myself … not good at 2am in the morning No toilet tissue or even a small hotel soap in the bathroom … the wire sticking out of the socket connecting a hair dryer constitutes a health and safety let alone a fire hazard…I slept under my bath towel as no sheet only a scratchy blanket

I liked this hotel, have been there a couple of times before. It is perfect location, very close to the airport. The room was not big but spacious in any case, nicely furnished and nice comfortable bed. But I was satisfied in any case, had a view over garden. Wifi not worked, it was difficult to connect but down in the restaurant and outside by the pool it worked good. Breakfast I could choose what I wish to have, so it was good. It was nice to sit outside and have a dinner there, very good typical Gambian food, not remember the name.

The bathroom was very small, not much place between washbasin, toilet and the door and the wall.

Great location for the airport

Not for the first time with The Woodpecker there was no promised transfer taxi at the airport and on arrival the reception desk had no record of my booking and so it took over an hour to check in. At 3am, neither is welcome.

We arrived late evening, so it was great to quickly get to the hotel, have a drink and hit the sack.

No problems. Its not a high quality hotel, but does well for the price.

very convenient for the airport. very comfortable bed. the restaurant food was very good. very clean.

the receptionists could have been a bit more cheerful but they were very efficient. water in shower not very hot.

Breakfast was good. Location also good. Friendly people.

That I had to pay on arrival at 3:30 in the night. Only cash was accepted. If you did not pay, they want you to deliver your passport at the reception, an idea which I did not like. use of the creditcard would make things considerably more expensive. (They had already my cardnumber.) The second thing: I had to pay 50 Dalasi extra for a second Nescafe containing 3-5 grams of powder.I like my coffee a bit stronger than normal.
