Milky Way Holiday Resort -this is my favorite place in Sri Lanka. I am returning here for the third time, and every visit feels like coming home. For me, this is much more than just a hotel or a resort — it is a true place of healing, renewal, and inner peace. Time seems to slow down here, while all the worries and stress of city life fade far into the background. If you are looking for tranquility, serenity, a close connection with nature, and a chance to completely recharge, this is the perfect place for you. The resort grounds are spacious, beautifully maintained, and absolutely stunning. Surrounded by lush tropical jungle, exotic plants, colorful flowers, ponds, and breathtaking natural scenery, it offers a truly unique experience. Every day, you can observe wildlife in its natural habitat: monkeys, monitor lizards, peacocks, exotic birds, bright-colored crabs, and many other fascinating animals. Waking up to the songs of birds and falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle is a special pleasure that words can hardly describe. It truly feels like a paradise hidden among the jungle. The villas are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. They have everything needed for a long and relaxing stay: a private bathroom, a kitchenette, a comfortable bed, and a wonderful large terrace. The terrace was my favorite place to spend the evenings, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, the beauty of nature, and a delicious dinner that can be ordered from the owners’ restaurant. The family-run restaurant deserves special praise. The food is always fresh, homemade, and prepared with love. Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are consistently delicious, and the local dishes are among the best I have tasted anywhere in Sri Lanka. The staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Here, you never feel like a customer — you feel like a truly welcome guest. Dobrá cena. U velkého okna malý stolek s 2 židlemi. Výhled na rybník. V areálu se pohyboval varan. Při troše údržby by to byl velmi pěkný areál.

Realita neodpovídá fotografiím. Foceno pravděpodobně hned po vybudování; to ale bylo hoodně dávno. Chtělo by to aktualizovat fotografie a zároveň trochu renovovat. Hlavně areál působil zanedbaně - rozpadající se plot okolo rybníka, místy zápach atd. Vetší problém pro mě byla chybějící zvuková izolace mezi patry. Víte o všem, co nad vámi dělají.. Jeden z důvodů výběru tohoto místa byl údajně rychlý optický internet. O to nepříjemnější překvapení bylo, že mi po příjezdu nefungoval dokonce ani ten jejich obyčejný od Dialogu. Nakonec se to zprovoznilo ale musel jsem to já opakovaně řešit. Když se zdálo, že technicky to funguje, tak pak internet přestal fungovat kvůli nízkému datovému limitu. Ten na požádání ne příliš ochotně navýšili. Dále velmi nepřímo naznačili, že další navýšení bude za platbu. To je trochu zvláštní, když internet využívá více pokojů. Nebylo to příliš transparentní jednání. O to horší, že použitelně anglicky uměl prakticky jen majitel, který tam často nebyl.

Exceptional stay from start to finish! The surroundings were absolutely breathtaking — peaceful, beautiful nature everywhere you look. It truly felt like a hidden paradise. The host was incredibly welcoming, kind, and attentive, making us feel at home right away. Every detail exceeded our expectations, from the comfort to the atmosphere. Without a doubt, this was the best stay we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back!

Milkyway is probably the mot unforgettable hotel experience ever from start to end! Starting from location which feels like being in the middle of jungle, to really caring staff, which greeted us with amazing coconut drinks and helped us throughout our 5 days stay 🙏🏻 Would definitely come back if I ever visit Sri Lannka again and would recomend for other travelers too. Only being able to see a lot of different animals and plants every day was something I never experienced before and made me fell in love with the place: apart from cow,monkeys, water lizzards, eagle, kingfishers and other birds, if you are patient and you wait for the night you will see paradise of fireflies! Rooms and were really big and comfy too, and had everyrhing you need with beautiful nature sounds waking you up in the morning. It's also really close ti beautiful buddhist temple in the mountains where you can go for sunrise! Would recommend breakfast too, its unlimited ammount of different local foods for really great price! If I could I would give 100 stars!5
