The Espiritu

The staff at the Espiritu are its strongpoint. From the minute you walk in, you feel welcome and looked after. The hotel is not really a resort but it’s a good place to base yourself if you are diving. It has a lovely, sparkling pool, a bar and a cafe/restaurant available all day which is good because the rooms are quite small and faded. They are very clean and have all you need, including good aircon. Thank you to Janina, Corinne, Lynne and all the rest of the staff.

Supplies can be limited at times, this is the same for the whole island, so menu items are often not available. The door to the bathroom opens straight onto the toilet, so you have to kind of shimmy past.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. L'établissement est agréable, confortable et nous en sommes globalement très satisfaits. Nous tenons à remercier chaleureusement toute l'équipe (et surtout les filles à l'accueil)  pour les nombreuses attentions qui nous ont été réservées durant notre séjour. Ces petites marques d'attention ont été très appréciées et ont contribué à rendre notre expérience encore plus agréable. L'emplacement est idéal, en plein centre-ville tout en restant à quelques minutes seulement de l'aéroport. Le restaurant est également très bon, avec des plats de qualité. Concernant le petit-déjeuner, nous avons été un peu déçus au regard du standing de l'hôtel et du prix de la chambre. La formule comprend une seule boisson (thé, café ou jus de type Oasis), une petite assiette de fruits et un plat à choisir à la carte. Nous aurions apprécié davantage de choix, notamment la possibilité d'avoir des œufs au petit-déjeuner sans supplément. Enfin, le seul véritable point négatif concerne l'eau chaude, que nous n'avons malheureusement jamais eue malgré plusieurs tentatives et plus de trois très longues minutes d'attente. Malgré ces quelques réserves, nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour et recommandons volontiers cet établissement.

The rooms were very comfortable and very well serviced. The quality and varied selection of food for breakfast and dinner was great! The dinner service was fantastic with Mario and the team looking after me well during each dinner.

They were understaffed on a couple of mornings so the break service was very slow. Still worth the wait but don't expect to be in and out in less than 45 minutes.

No hot shower

Location, clean rooms with air conditioning, very helpful personnel. The ladies in reception helped us to find a transfer to the airport with 2 stops at a reasonable price. They also organised our transfer in Port Villa, which was really helpful of the team.
