The view is spectacular and the staff is very friendly and helpful! The food quality is excellent also!

the night light under the bed which is motion driven will be easily switched on once a slight movement is detected and it’s kind of annoying.

The staff were so kind and made sure you understood them, best customer service I’ve ever had. Also, we had a traditional room with a private bath and it was perfect. The diner and breakfast were also really good! 10/10 I will come back someday!

My wife and I had a great time at Hotel Hanaan. Service was excellent, the food was AMAZING and rooms offered such a beautiful view of Lake Chuzenji. Onsen was great as well. Overall the stay here exceeded expectations and will definitely stay here again if we visit Nikko in the future.

"Wonderful experience"

We took the room with an attached onsen and it was so lovely. The huge window overlooked the lake, just like a beautiful picture. On top of that, the staff were attentive and took time to introduce the room, introduce every dish we had for dinner and breakfast.

"Superb"

Amazing ryoukan breakfast and dinner which changed slightly each day. Great location right infront of Lake Chuzenji. And each hotel room had a great view of the lake. Nearby walk to main bus stop routes. Great staff and meal service!

A/C in the room was centralized and could not be controlled from the room. Only blew hot air during winter, so we had to ask for some extra standing fans as we still needed some ventilation in the room, as windows could not be open. Hotel was happy to provide fans though.
