WIMAL PALACE

The building itself looks as per the photos. The entrance garden was neat.  Had hot water to shower. Easy check in and check out. Staff tried to attend to your requests; we asked for early breakfast since we had some some island boat trips planned. The first day the staff managed everything on time but the second day the food was 30mins+ late. Quick 5 mins walk to main road

The photos seem to have been taken a couple of years ago and the bedroom and specially the bathroom and toilet were very very dirty. I literally had to clean the toilet seat that had urine on it. Bedsheets were dusty and the pillowcases smelled like they haven't been washed for some time. There was only one towel for two people. The bathroom fittings had not been cleaned for a long time neither. It had layers of old tooth paste splatter on the mirror, sink and tiles around it. There were two cockroaches and ants. The kitchen was very dirty as well with dirty splatters and dust everywhere. The kettle had limestone layers and dust. This is our experience, we want this place to live up to the name "Palace" and support the local business to thrive. We thank the staff for the positive side of things.

The whole suite was incredible with a nice room for our driver in the suite. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

The breakfast was a bit disorganised.

The food cooked by the chef for dinner was good

We could only check in at 2am as there wasnt anyone to do the room cleaning. The chef was all rounder.

Das hotel liegt in einer ruhigen und schönen wohngegend. Die zimmer haben eine angenehme grösse und sind super sauber, modern und sehr gut ausgeststattet. Der service ist top und das frühstück ist rechhaltig und schmackhaft. Eine sehr gute wahl für jaffna!

Prima kamers met comfortabel bed. Badkamer met ruime douche en heet water. Rustig gelegen. Ruime keuken voor gezamenlijk gebruik. Fijn terras. We hebben een leuk 2 daags tochtje naar Delft gemaakt. Dit werd georganiseerd door Daniel.

In eerste instantie was het niet bepaald schoon. Ook waren dingen niet altijd duidelijk. Daniel, de "manager' verscheen de volgende dag. Met hem heb ik de tekortschietende hygiene en andere zaken besproken. Daarna verbeterde het voldoende.

The whole apartment was very clean except for our kitchen which was infested with cockroaches and also had some moldy blankets. The staff were helpful, especially Daniel who is an awesome cook. The free breakfast was a plus and he was very accommodating with the options. Even our driver got free accommodation which was decent.

The kitchen smelt funny and had dead cockroaches on arrival inside a pantry drawer. During the night we saw another massive cockroach so put the spray. Next morning there were heaps dead. Also the blankets in two rooms had moldy fungus like stuff on them and had to be changed
