Tropical Inn

This was a really excellent place to stay. I have been coming to Mirissa for decades and this was the best yet. I would definitely go back. It is not on the main beach, it's a 5-10 minute walk but that is no bad thing. Also right on top of Turtle Beach which is perfect if you prefer a calmer swim to the waves of the main beach. Plus you get to see turtles of course. Tropical Inn itself is a quality 4 bedroom guesthouse run by a charming family. It is the sort of place that the word "spotless" was invented for. The morning fruit plate has to be seen to be believed and the rates are reasonable. I loved this place.

Any criticism would have to be so !manufactured and picky that I am not going to make any. I will just say bravo.

The family running this place is so lovely and kind! The room was very clean and we wished we had stayed longer :). Highly recommend!

Everything was great!!!!! The family was so welcoming, friendly, and lovely! I really enjoyed them and my stay there. They were very accommodating with my breakfast time and breakfast! The room was big, had a refrigerator, and lovely pillows and bed sheets! Almost like I was sleeping on my own sheets! :) Great location. Definitely recommend! I will be going back for one more night before leaving Sri Lanka.

We love everything about this place. It was amazingly clean and the 2 rooms we had were very spacieous. The best showers I had in Sri Lanka were here. We got beach towels as well. Breakfast was delicious ( huge amout and variety of fresh fruits and pancakes, omlettes, hoppers ). Property is situated 50 m from the Turtle beach and 5 minutes walk from Mirissa Beach with many cosy beach restaurants. Close to shops. Plus a few minutes walk to famous Coconut Hill. But the most stunning thing about Tropical inn was the host Family (mom, dad, dauther and son). Such a beutiful people. They make you feel like home. Always smiling, helpfull and caring. I will for sure come back to this place, when I visit Mirissa again. It was bit hard to say goodbye.

A wonderful stay with a beautiful family to host. The location is perfectly situated right opposite Turtle Bay beach, just next to the equally stunning Mirissa beach! My family and I were spoilt by delicious breakfasts every day with all our needs catered to. We would definitely stay again!

Clean, spacious room. We loved having a fridge and the hosts provided us with plenty of bottled water free of charge. We really loved breakfast both mornings, especially the wide variety of fresh fruit.

The location was great, just across the street from the beach, lots of restaurants close by, but best of all the family was so delightful. We fell in love with them. Super clean rooms and the breakfast was very good. We stayed 8 days and always had something new and delicious. The family is very kind and helpful

Tropical inn We really enjoyed our stay at the tropical in. Room was large, clean and very comfortable. We loved the shower, which was powerful. The host family that run the inn were really friendly, accommodating and helpful. We had a lovely breakfast and a home cooked meal here. Happy to recommend this hotel in Mirissa. Will come again there when we visit Sri Lanka again.

Not much

The Tropical Inn is a quite new place, on the main street, not very far from the centre of Mirissa town. The room was spacious, clean, with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. The place is run by a lovely family which makes you feel very welcome. They are ready to help with every need a guest might have. The breakfast served includes - apart from the usual staff - a large selection of fresh fruit. We highly recommend to anyone who would wish to stay at Mirissa.
