Mandarin Resort Zanzibar

This is a perfect place you could ever imagine. From the reception to the food, music , dance to the lovely view of the ocean , my wife and I enjoyed every bit of our stay . Thanks to Hanna who made our stay even more memorable; such a nice fellow with a charming hospitality. If I have the opportunity to come back to Zanzibar, I will choose Mandarin Resort again

Service is a 10! All the staff members were so friendly and attentive. Special shoutout to Halidi who led the animation team and organized many great activities such as aqua gymnastic and darts. We were seeking a relaxing beach vacation away from mass tourism and came to the right place for this. It felt all very personal and serene. The complimentary pool breakfast was a nice touch. The drive to the airport and Stonetown is around 1-1.5 hours. The beach is lovely. White sand, not too much seaweed, crystal clear water and depending on the tide also good for swimming. The resort is very well kept - such as the garden, pool area, beach. The suite was spacious and offered a georgeous front row sea view. Security made us feel safe and mostly kept the beach vendors away from the private hotel beach section.

Even though we enjoyed our stay at Mandarin Resort, for a 4 star experience we would expect more than just great service. We didn’t feel like we got our money’s worth in all aspects. Luckily the amazing staff made up for a lot that we were missing otherwise: room updates would go a long way - e.g. more racks/ hangers for towels and wet clothes, better lighting for the bathroom and vanity mirrors, straight doors that are not scraping the floor, sanded down/ smooth edges at the private pool, cushions on the terrace chairs. The All Inclusive package could be more extensive. The food was good but we were missing variation. They have different themes for dinner and the dishes vary but the ingredients are mostly the same every lunch and dinner - if you do not want to be eating meat and fish every day, the selection is slim. White wine by the glass was not always available yet it was still possible to purchase a bottle. We also had to pay extra for ice cream and bottled water.

Un resort à taille humaine au bord d’une magnifique plage un endroit calme et exceptionnel . Tout est fait pour que vous vous sentiez privilégiés par le personnel qui est aux petits soins pour rendre votre séjour inoubliable (merci à Mr Hanna et son staff et aux animateurs). Les repas sont de très bonne qualité, les cocktails sont délicieux et sont compris dans la formule AI. Toutes nos demandes sont prises en compte et c est très appréciable. De l’organisation du petit déjeuner dans la piscine et d’un souper romantique au bord de la plage ils rendront votre séjour exceptionnel. La plage donnant accès à la mer est en permanence surveillée le personnel ce qui est appréciable pour la tranquillité. Nous recommandons vraiment cet hôtel vous y passerez forcément un séjour de rêve! Nous y retournons avec nos enfants pour notre prochain séjour à Zanzibar.

From the moment we arrived at reception the room with private pool amazing views. Hani the restaurant manager went out of his way to ensure the food and service by his excellent team was up great standards. Amir the chef ensured for fantastic food and variety. Hani once again thank you for the surprise birthday cake if I could relate you and your team more than 10 on booking.com I would - I strongly suggest for couples to take the all inclusive option. The staff and the service exceeded our expectations. Especially from the animation team (Halid) and the restaurant staff (Hameeda).

The WiFi connection was difficult. The water pressure was also quite low.

Le responsable presse toujours ses employé.e.s et nous presse même pour enchaîner les repas. Il nous a même demandé de lui mettre un 10/10 avant de partir Dans la formule all inclusive il n’a pas voulu nous servir un café glacé et incite beaucoup a prendre des excursions en passant par lui uniquement On a toujours l’impression d’être épié

Cooler Einstieg in Sansibar. Super Personal, tolle Strandlage am schönen Strand. Super nah zur Turtlecave. Die Anlage ist schön und nicht zu groß.

Wenn man kritisieren möchte müsste man das Bad renovieren und das Essen ist gut, aber nicht herausragend.

We really liked that the hotel is small and not crowded with tourists. The staff are very friendly and genuinely care about everything.Special thanks to the General Manager, Magdi, the Restaurant Manager, Hanna, and the amazing animation staff member, Halidi. They made our stay truly wonderful.

The rooms could use some renovation, and it would be helpful to have more hangers for clothes. It might also be nice to update the bathroom. In the restaurant, dressings for the food were missing, and adding more lighting would make the atmosphere even better.
