This place is a wee hidden gem. We live in a newer home so I was really excited to stay in a historic farm cottage for a few nights and experience this era with a modern twist. It totally delivered, I was blown away, it was everything I hoped for, cozy couches, comfortable bed, modern appliances that all kept with the era of the cottage. It was peaceful, clean, tidy and spacious, having breakfast available was a great way to start the day. What more can I say, this place was amazing, we totally recommend this place and would stay again. We attended a wedding nearby then stayed an extra night to explore the surrounding area.

I was slightly disappointed I didn't see any farm animals in the paddock beside the cottage 😆

The location was great - partway between Greytown and Martinborough . The cottage was beautifully decorated . It was clean and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hosts left a fresh sourdough loaf and home baking for us as well as eggs and bacon .

The breakfast was amazing. Lovely fresh homemade bread with bacon and eggs. Plus, a lovely surprise of a plate of white chocolate and cranberry slice

There is no washing machine, but we managed just fine

Great location for functions at Tauherenikau Race course! Everything you need! Bacon and Eggs, home made sour dough bread and home made muesli with spreads an added bonus mwah. Excellent linen on beds. Be prepared for s quick friendly visit from Scotty the dog!

This was the perfect little cottage - felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Quiet and serene. Wonderful bonus to have fresh bread, bacon & eggs. Bed super comfy and everything qualify. Even got a visit from the little scotty dog which made us feel at home. Contemplated moving in full time.

Having to leave!

Hosts provided bread, eggs and bacon which was great, no need to shop for breakfast. Wonderful location, handy for Wellington and East Coast towns.

We choose this spot as my brother lives 15 minutes away and it made the location for us perfect from the 'daily commute' we had to go and visit. The cottage is stand alone from the main house with ample parking and truly spacious inside. The kitchen had everything we could want from a home away from home kitchen. Eggs, bacon, milk and sourdough bread provided for a 'cook yourself' breakfast, excellent. BEST of all, the bed! Its rare in accommodation to find a bed which has not turned into a 'hammock' over the years of use. This is not the case here, the bed is awesome, aiding in a wonderful nights sleep. Hosts are there if you need them otherwise they get on with life as we did.

If you were planning on re-heating food you would need to use the oven, no microwave. While not a negative just something to be aware of.
