Beautiful old building, in the heart of the historic centre; very helpful staff

Rien pour cuisiner. Bar derrière l’hotel qui peu faire un peu de bruit jusqu’a minuit. Ensuite, très calme.

Beautiful old house, tall ceilings, spacious room and common areas. Very clean and staff was great. Super location.

We stayed in the family Room and The AC was not able to cool the room down very well. It was Pretty hot, and the poor insulation in the floor meant that all the cool air just went out of the room. The fan doesn’t help much, since it pushes the hot air down and is not direct on the bed. the bed was foam, comfortable at first but then my husband and I were in our own little canoes, as the mattress compressed and didn’t bounce back.

Note: Due to a last-minute change, the host notified us a day before arrival that we would be staying in a different property ("Aceh Suites by Aayu - 1 min walk to Armenian St"). We agreed to the switch, so this review reflects that alternative accommodation. - The staff were very friendly and responsive, providing plenty of recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, and local activities. They even organize a free tour or activity every day for guests to join. Additionally, they allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours after checkout, which was very helpful. - Great location in the heart of George Town - Spacious

- It was often very noisy due to motorcycles, calls to prayer, and nearby shops that would rattle their doors and shutters open as early as 6 or 7 am. This was our main disappointment, as other reviews had described the place as 'peaceful and quiet.' - A member of the cleaning staff entered our room after knocking, but we didn't hear him. It would be better if they messaged us via WhatsApp first to ask if we actually need cleaning. - Blankets were a bit dirty

The most important factors in evaluating the hotel for me, are the air conditioning, location, accommodation, parking, and value for money. The first thing I noticed when we entered the room was that the air conditioning was working and the room was cool, which gave a very good first impression. The air conditioning was also very good, which was the most important thing for us. I liked the room; I thought it would be cramped for the three of us, but it was actually good and suitable for the price. The accommodation was also nice, and the location was truly excellent. Not only are there shops nearby, but it's also convenient for walking. You can enjoy the morning atmosphere after sunrise, and while walking, you'll find bakeries that offer truly delicious pastries. I never had any problems with parking; I think I was lucky in this regard, as I always found a parking spot. Now, on the negative side, it's the bathroom. Another thing is that the check-in and check-out process was very convenient and excellent. Overall, I recommend the hotel. I've traveled to the same area, Georgetown, more than once, and this is the best hotel I've stayed in...

There's no extractor fan in the bathroom to get rid of odors. I know there are windows, but they're not enough. The only negative thing is the bathroom, if it were improved, would make this hotel almost perfect.

Beautiful traditional house, well located. Room was nice, clean, and spacious. Staff were very responsive and even upgraded my room for free.

The location was unbeatable at that price. Management was helpful and unintrusive and was quick to respond when I locked myself out of the premises. Really appreciate the thoughtful setup.
