Akwaba Lodge Island Boutique Hotel

Pokoj byl dostatečně prostorný včetně koupelny. Byl to pro nás skutečný relax. Majitelé jsou velmi ochotní. Je možné využít kajaky zdarma, kterými jsme se přesunuli na Hospital Point. Ubytování je včetně snídaně a je možnost si objednat večeři. Po 2 večery jsme to využili a skutečně to můžu doporučit. Jídlo bylo moc chutné. Co se týče šnorchlování, tak vzhledem k aktuální situacii (mnoho trávy, která pokrývá dno moře) nebylo moc zajímavé. Děkujeme za to, že jsme mohli u vás strávit 3 dny.

I hesitated to write a review because the owners are lovely people. The breakfast and dinner area and food were nice. Service through whatsapp was efficient for things such as water taxis. They refunded us a night when we left early, which was unexpected. Grounds are peaceful.

We stayed at the Jungle House, which should not be rented at all until they resolve a problem with a family of bats living over the front door. Upon checkin tour, she said, "you don't mind bats?" It was a question, but it was more of a statement. We've stayed in an ecolodge before in Borneo, we know bats are around. However, these 7 bats reside over the front door, therefore the threshold is covered in droppings in the morning, which I stepped in. It is a biohazard. I decided to write this review when i saw this house is still available to rent. I dont want others to have this same surprise. Additionally, we had no hot water in the shower, we just lived with it rather then complain. Other disappointments: There are limited flights to Bocas. We took an early morning flight. However, you must not come to the lodge until check-in time at 2. Even if you're willing to just wait. Therefore, we had to wander bocastown with our luggage in the rain for 6 hours. You must take a water taxi anywhere, which is arranged by whatsapping the owners. The island is not 5 minutes from bocastown, more like 15 on high speed very bumpy ride in an old wooden boat. At night its concerning as the boats for some reason have very small lights, some none at all! The swimming area is a no go. The water is clear as advertised, but what you dont see is the abundance of seagrass growing high in the swimming area. Its very disconcerting and creepy to attempt to swim. I floated because it was not nice to stand. The water is not carribbean blue, its green. There's likely nothing that can be done about the grass, but I would not have booked had I been aware. Overall, we left early for those reasons. We were glad we did and were much happier in Bocastown.

The property itself is beautiful and the setting on the island is really special. The staff were very kind and clearly doing their best to make guests feel welcome.

there were a few aspects of the stay that felt disappointing. - The boat transfer to Bocas was more expensive than other providers offering similar service. - Dinner was also quite pricey ($25 and not including dessert), and unfortunately the food was not particularly memorable. - The room itself felt rather basic and not well designed.

Lo tienen todo muy bien organizado, las cabañas son preciosaa y comodas. Te ayudan a llegar hasta allí desde el momento que llegas. Totalmente recomendable.

Nos ha encantado. Es ideal si quieres desconectar y estar en contacto con la naturaleza, alejado de los ruidos. Nat y JC son encantadores, muy atentos a todo, cuidando todos los detalles. Están muy pendientes y te ponen muchas facilidades para los traslados y para todo. Tiene kayak y tablas de padel surf a tu disposición. El desayuno es muy bueno, el pan lo hace ella. Y la cena está buenísima también. Repetiríamos sin duda, nos ha dado mucha pena irnos.

We really enjoyed ourselves at Akwaba Lodge. Natali and JC made us feel so welcome and helped make our stay memorable. We ate delicious and healthy meals that were tailored to our vegetarian tastes. We used the free kayaks to go to Red Frog beach and explored different inlets and points. We took a tour of a cacao farm and learned how chocolate is made. And we snorkeled around a few small coral gardens right at the property. We also loved listening to the amazing bird calls during the morning.

Everything was so good - maybe add a hand towel and wash cloth to the bathroom. Wish we had stayed a fourth night to fit in more snorkeling and explore other beaches.

The Meals were amazing, So wonderful to try new foods!! Both Natali and her husband are wonderful cooks! The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming, Natali was able to arrange for us local tours and our connections for leaving. So Grateful for our time spent there meeting new friends.

Csodalatos hely, a laguna partjan, a dzsungel kozepen, szines madarak kozott, gyonyoru viragokkal… A Jungle House-ok nagyon privatak es csondesek (max a madarakat hallod reggel) nagyon kedves es segitokesz hazigazdak (JC, Natalie, Arturo) minden transzfert, programot megszerveznek… A konyha kivallo… Nagyon szerettunk itt lenni… Igazan feltolto az elmeny
