Osheen Homestay Sigiriya

Nice place good breakfast...

Everything about our stay was perfect. The food was incredibly delicious with the best breakfast we had in our two weeks in Sri Lanka. The location was great - it was easy for us to get to Sigiriya for Lions Rock and also easy for Dambulla and Polonnaruwa. The family were extremely accommodating and helped us arrange any transport we needed and even brought us free drinks without asking. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was on a cherry tree and a lovely place to relax in beautiful surroundings.🫶

This place was in the heart of the forest and was in a fantastic location. Just a short tuk tuk ride to any shops and restaurants. They took the time to give us a short tour of their beautiful garden, where they grow fruits (we even got to try them!). The family were wonderful, really looked after us, they booked a tour and a cooking class for me and my dad, which we really enjoyed, highly recommended. Our next stop was Kandy, they also arranged a taxi for us. I have been travelling for 6 months now and I can honestly say this is one of the best places I have stayed. I will definitely book another stay on my next trip to Sri Lanka

Feels like home. The stay was perfect. The owners are very kind. Delicious breakfast with Sri Lankian food en also western food and fresh fruit. Also try the dinner Rice en curry over there. The swimmingpool is nice for a break.good place 💯

Quiet location but close to the lake. It’s about 15min walk around the lake to the main town area. Cool old building and the staff were really lovely and a big breakfast. Recommendations: Vito for pizza - best pizza in SL. Hotel Suise for (expensive) coffee and use the pool (3,000). Hideaway - great food and service. Giant Buddha for sunset - you can sit behind his head. Botanical gardens and Udawatta Kele Sanctuary for some nature vibes. The old prison is also pretty cool.

The mattress needs replacing as it was compressed in the middle. Table cloths could be replaced more often so you’re not looking at days of stains. Mosquitos are friendly so you can’t keep doors or windows open to air out the room, mosquito nets would be great. Communal kitchen could be cleaner - bowls of old rice in the fridge and sink area dirty.

This stay was so relaxing, we had the family room with two. Had a little garden/pool view. Comfortable beds. Friendly hosts with amazing breakfast every morning. We even extended our stay for 1 day because it’s so relaxing here. Its a 10 minute drive to sigiriya town.I really recommend this beautiful stay! 💞

Definetly the best homestay that we have been in Sri Lanka. Everything was perfect. The owners are super friendly and nice and they arranged us a safari to Minneriya that was awesome! The guide charuka was very professional. They also serve amazing breakfast, the rooms have everything you need and are very clean. In addition, the swimmingpool is a plus! Everything surrounded by nature. We would definetly recommend this place to anyone.

Great place Spacious and clean room. Wifi is very good. The property owners, were very cure couples, fulfilled all our needs. Helped us with our needs, Organized an amazing breakfast early morning since we need to leave early. Took care of us like their family members. Great value for money. Overall, we had a great time in Osheen home stay with our family. Thank you so much 🙏
