Dhalaya Resort Udawalawe

Spotlessly clean little resort with great rooms, delicious food and friendly staff. All in a superb location. The bed was hands down the comfiest we have slept in in Sri Lanka so far.

The soundproofing between rooms was non-existent.

Rooms were immaculate and the staff excellent David and the lady in the restaurant were exceptional. Both worked above and beyond.

Kitchen was understaffed

Clean and modern facilities with a very good restaurant. It has helpful and courteous staff .

Everything about this property was outstanding. The rooms were beautiful. Much better than expected. The most impressive aspect was the staff. Each and every member of staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They thought of everything, even the maintenance and room staff were so thoughtful. There was nothing they wouldn't do, including the chef preparing a complete Sri Lankan banquet for our family, even though it wasn't on the menu. The team made this trip memorable for all the right reasons. I highly recommend visiting this hotel/resort. Special thanks to Davey and the restaurant staff for making us feel welcome and very happy!

Brand new, great service (especially Amiz), comfort lounge, pool and restaurant availability, western inspired.

I enjoyed the property. Very peaceful. Friendly staff. Entertainment was exceptional. I enjoyed the safari, elephant orphanage. Swimming facility was well marinated and clean. Easy access to multiple local landmarks. Great food. The Hungry Monkey Cafe is the only cafe I found that had great dine in options. Great for a peaceful getwaway.

We had the most memorable experience at Dhalaya. The service was incredible and the staff were all so friendly, The breakfast was excellent and the place is sooo beautiful.
