Otterskloof Game Reserve

The food was very nice for evening and breakfast. The staff were charming and helpful. We were the only people in a large lodge so it was very quiet! They lit fires etc to keep us warm as the weather was turning to winter. Quote a long way from Philipolis as the dirt track was very wet after heavy rains.

I did not know it was a shooting / hunting Lodge. I feel quite strongly that should have been mentioned in the info on the web. The actual name was the Otterskloof Hunting Lodge. I found it upsetting personally.

Such a friendly welcome by wonderful after a long drive. Cool air conditioned, huge clean room with crisp white sheets and a comfy bed is what you can expect.

we really liked the welcome party with cold wet towels and fruit juice. the staff was really friendly with us and showed true professionalism. rooms where excellent and food was exceptionally good

the road to otterskloof is a bit challenging but this just requires some planning, not really in otterkloof control. just to take note

I didn't realize it was a hunting reserve and I'm totally against it, hanged stuffed animal's heads and pictures with dead animals...

Very friendly team. Clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast and dinner was excellent. Very serene and quiet. Overall a great stay.
