Maison Opéra

The apartment was immaculate and decorated tastefully. The picturesque location is in the heart of nightlife and shopping surrounded with restaurants. Communication with owner is excellent. When we arrived we found cookies and coffee on the table for us. I would stay here again and highly recommend this property.

The 5 flights of stairs (42 steps) to get up to second floor apartment - but once you get there, it is all worthwhile!

Absolutely incredible apartment in the centre of the city! Felt like we had won the jackpot when we stepped inside the apartment! Beautiful place that is decorated super well. Really spacious too! Had everything that we could have possibly needed (great to have a washing machine!) and the host went above and beyond to ensure that we had a truly perfect stay. The bottle of wine and welcome treats were a cherry on the cake. Loved the bathrooms and the bed was super comfy. Wish we could have moved in!

Location is right in the middle of Palermo with a cool view. Amazing place, a lot bigger than it looked. Quiet but with the hustle and bustle of the city in the background, made us feel like we were really in the city, everything was right on our doorstop, but this was a great little escape.

Excellent location and everything within reach by foot. Central station is a 20 minute walk. Well appointed apartment with ample space. The washing machine was very helpful on a long vacation. The bottle of wine and basic breakfast supplies were a bonus.

The central location did mean there was a lot of activity in the street below which created some noise at night but it was not enough to disturb. The apartment also got hot in the peak of summer and took some time to cool down when getting back after a day out.

Both the apartment and the city exceeded our expectations. The city is vibrant and even overwhelming with its combination of ancient architecture and dynamic street life. The apartment itself is located on a side street of the Opera Square, allowing you to enjoy Palermo while having a quiet retreat when needed. The apartment is very spacious and well-decorated. It has two balconies with a nice view of the medieval street and the opera house. Nearby are several restaurants and a grocery store. Out of all the apartments we have visited thanks to Booking, this one had the largest number of necessities and pleasant surprises. There was wine as a gift, as well as several kinds of coffee and tea, bread, fruit jams, salt, water, and more. There are two bathrooms, a large TV, and lots of books about Sicily. This is all thanks to the awesome host, Angela, who was very welcoming and also helped us navigate the local public transport system. Highly recommended!
