Maison Opéra

The appartment is excellent, furnished with a very good taste, very well equipped all you can imagine. Location is just perfect. We felt like at home. Welcome gift (wine and cookies) really touched us. Agela, the host, is one of the nicest people I ever met in my life. She sent us a huge list of restaurants. So nice of her.

The property was in a great location. Very spacious, bright and really lovely. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed going back there after our days out

A little noisy in the evening but expected when in a prime location

We felt at home in this apartment located in the heart of the old town, close to attractions, markets, and restaurants. Our one-week vacation was very enjoyable, and we would recommend this apartment to anyone.

A little gem. Such a quaint apartment and a very attentive host. They were with us all the way to make our arrival as smooth as possible. Chock full of amenities upon arrival. Bright and airy. You are on the brink of history. Outside the door, your adventure begins. Walking distance to many of the historic markets, museums, churches, monuments and much more. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. A toaster might be a good addition to the kitchen equipment.

I have absolutely nothing negative to say in regards to our host. The one major problem that we encountered is a nightclub approximately 30 metres from the apartment and the nightly assault of EDM from 21:00 through 01:45 three to four times a week made our stay unbearable at times. I did not read anything in the reviews when booking the property, but it would have made our choice a different one had we known.

The property was well decorated, and it was very central for all of the key sites of Palermo. I also thought that the communication from the host was always excellent and she was very helpful.

1. The centrality of the property was a double edge sword because there was a lot of extremely noisy activity with people going on making noise late into the night ( Restaurants & Bars ), sometimes even till two or 3 o’clock in the morning which made it hard to sleep. You really can’t open the window to have fresh air at night because it is very noisy. 2. The plumbing needs looking at because the drains in the bathroom were extremely smelly. 3. The water pressure in the kitchen sink also was too low to trigger the hot water. This made it difficult to wash.

Palermo is an incredible city, full of different colors and an exceptionally rich culture. I enjoyed every moment. Maison Opera was my home during my stay, where I returned to gather my impressions of the day in peace. Beautifully arranged, exceptionally clean, and spacious apartment in a prime location where the host Angela ensures that travelers find everything they need to feel excellent.
